以色列人去求问耶和华；那时，上帝的约柜在那里。

那时，神的约柜在那里；亚伦的孙子、以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈侍立在约柜前。以色列人问耶和华说：“我们当再出去与我们弟兄便雅悯人打仗呢？还是罢兵呢？”耶和华说：“你们当上去，因为明日我必将他们交在你们手中。”

以色列人去求问耶和华；那时，神的约柜在那里。

那时，上帝的约柜就在那里，亚伦的孙子、以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈任祭司。以色列人求问耶和华，说：“我们应该再去攻打我们的同胞便雅悯人吗？还是退兵？”耶和华说：“去攻打吧，因为明天我必把他们交在你们手中。”

And the Israelites inquired of the Lord.( In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there,

Again the Israelites spoke to the Lord. In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there.

And the people of Israel inquired of the Lord( for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

The Israelites went up seeking direction from the Lord.( In those days the Ark of the Covenant of God was in Bethel,

Then the Israelites inquired of the LORD. In those days, the ark of the covenant of God was there,

And the sons of Israel inquired of the Lord( for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

So the children of Israel inquired of the Lord( the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

And the children of Israel asked of Jehovah( for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

Then the Israelites inquired of the Lord. In those days, the ark of the covenant of God was there,

And the children of Israel enquired of the LORD,( for the ark of the covenant of God[ was] there in those days,

The Israelites asked the LORD( for the ark of God’s covenant was there in those days;

The children of Israel asked Yahweh( for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,

以色列全会众都聚集在示罗，把会幕设立在那里。那地已经被他们征服了。

百姓回到营里，以色列的长老说：“耶和华今日为何使我们败在非利士人面前呢？我们要将耶和华的约柜从示罗抬到我们这里来，好让他来到我们中间，救我们脱离敌人的手掌。”于是百姓派人到示罗，从那里将坐在二基路伯上万军之耶和华的约柜抬来。以利的两个儿子何弗尼、非尼哈也与上帝的约柜同来。

以色列人起来，上到伯特利去求问上帝说：“我们中间谁当首先上去与便雅悯人争战呢？”耶和华说：“犹大先上去。”

甚至离弃示罗的帐幕，就是他在人间所搭的帐棚；又将他有能力的约柜交给人掳去，将他的荣耀交在敌人手中；

你们到我的地方示罗去，就是我先前在那里立为我名的居所，察看我因这百姓以色列的罪恶向那地方所行的事。

看哪，耶和华的膀臂并非过短，不能拯救，耳朵并非发沉，不能听见，

因以色列人上去，在耶和华面前哀哭，直到晚上。他们求问耶和华说：“我可以再出兵与我弟兄便雅悯人打仗吗？”耶和华说：“可以上去攻打他们。”

他要站在以利亚撒祭司面前；以利亚撒要凭乌陵的判断，在耶和华面前为他求问。他和以色列全会众都要照以利亚撒的指示出入。”
