爾則當詳細咨詢究察訪問、如得其實、果有此可惡之事行於爾中、

以色列人先遣祭司以利亞撒子非尼哈、往基列地、見流便人、迦得人、及瑪拿西半支派人、又遣十牧伯偕往、即以色列諸支派、各支派一牧伯、皆率以色列軍旅之族長、或作皆在以色列千萬中為本支派宗族之長皆至基列地、見流便人、迦得人、及瑪拿西半支派人、曰、主之會眾如此云、爾今建一祭臺、叛逆主、離棄主、干犯以色列天主、爾曹犯此罪何意、

爾臨城攻之、先當宣告以和好、

若可與眾和、則盡力與之和、

倘兄弟得罪爾、則於彼獨處時責之、若聽、則得爾兄弟、若不聽、則攜一二人偕爾、因憑二三證者之口、凡事可定、若再不聽、則告於教會、若不聽教會、則視之如異邦人及稅吏可也、我誠告爾、凡爾所縛於地者、亦必見縛於天、所釋於地者、亦必見釋於天、
