And when their hearts were merry, they said,“ Call Samson, that he may entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he entertained them. They made him stand between the pillars.

Half drunk by now, the people demanded,“ Bring out Samson so he can amuse us!” So he was brought from the prison to amuse them, and they had him stand between the pillars supporting the roof.

When they were in good spirits, they said,“ Bring Samson here to entertain us.” So they brought Samson from prison, and he entertained them. They had him stand between the pillars.

It so happened when they were in high spirits, that they said,“ Call for Samson, that he may amuse us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he entertained them. And they made him stand between the pillars.

So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said,“ Call for Samson, that he may perform for us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars.

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们注意，暗嫩开怀畅饮的时候，我对你们说击杀暗嫩，你们就杀他。不要惧怕，这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们要刚强，作勇士！”

看哪，人却欢喜快乐，宰牛杀羊，吃肉喝酒：“让我们吃吃喝喝吧！因为明天要死了。”

我在患难中，他们却欢喜，大家聚集，我所不认识的卑贱人聚集攻击我，他们不住地撕裂我。他们试探我，不断嘲笑我，向我咬牙切齿。

我的仇敌啊，不要向我夸耀。我虽跌倒，仍要起来；虽坐在黑暗里，耶和华却作我的光。我要承受耶和华的恼怒，直到他为我辩护，为我伸冤，因我得罪了他；他要领我进入光明，我必得见他的公义。那时我的仇敌看见这事就羞愧，他曾对我说：“耶和华—你的上帝在哪里？”我必亲眼见他遭报，现在，他必被践踏，如同街上的泥土。

从那里经过的人讥笑他，摇着头，说：“你这拆毁殿、三日又建造起来的，救救你自己吧！如果你是上帝的儿子，就从十字架上下来呀！”众祭司长、文士和长老也同样嘲笑他，说：“他救了别人，不能救自己。他是以色列的王，现在从十字架上下来，我们就信他。他倚靠上帝，上帝若愿意，现在就来救他，因为他曾说‘我是上帝的儿子’。”和他同钉的强盗也这样讥讽他。

信差奉王的命令急忙起行，敕令传遍了书珊城堡。王同哈曼坐下饮酒，书珊城堡却陷入慌乱中。

便‧哈达和诸王正在帐幕里喝酒，听见这话，就对他臣仆说：“摆阵吧！”他们就摆阵攻城。

用荆棘编了冠冕，戴在他头上，拿一根芦苇秆放在他右手里，跪在他面前，戏弄他，说：“万岁，犹太人的王！”

到了希律的生日，希罗底的女儿在众人面前跳舞，使希律欢喜，于是希律发誓许诺随她所求的给她。

因为你所击打的，他们就迫害；你所击伤的，他们述说他的愁苦。

那人同他的妾和仆人起身要走，但他岳父，就是女子的父亲，对他说：“看哪，太阳下山，天快晚了，你们再住一夜吧。看哪，太阳偏西了，就在这里住宿，使你的心舒畅，明天你们一早起来上路，回你的帐棚去。”

伯沙撒在欢饮之间，吩咐人将他父尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷圣殿所掳掠的金银器皿拿来，好使王与大臣、王后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。于是他们把圣殿，就是耶路撒冷上帝殿中所掳掠的金器皿拿来，王和大臣、王后、妃嫔就用这器皿饮酒。

“现在这些人以我为歌曲，以我为笑谈。他们厌恶我，躲避我，不住地吐唾沫在我脸上。

坐在城门口的谈论我，酒徒也以我为歌曲。

他们就吐唾沫在他脸上，用拳头打他，也有打他耳光的，说：“基督啊，向我们说预言吧！打你的是谁？”

祭司心里欢喜，拿着以弗得和家中的神像，以及雕刻的像，跟这些百姓走了。

你的仇敌跌倒，你不要欢喜，他倾倒，你的心不要快乐；恐怕耶和华看见就不喜悦，将怒气从仇敌身上转过来。

又有人忍受戏弄、鞭打、捆锁、监禁、各等的磨炼；
