非利士民見參孫、頌美其神曰、我敵曾毀我土地、殺我多人、今我神付之於我手、

When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying,“ Our god has delivered our enemy into our hands, the one who laid waste our land and multiplied our slain.”

When the people saw Samson, they praised their god. They said,“ Our god has handed our enemy over to us. Our enemy has destroyed our land. He has killed large numbers of our people.”

他们饮酒，赞美金、银、铜、铁、木、石造的神明。

参孙说：“用驴腮骨，一堆又一堆；用驴腮骨，我杀了一千人。”

他们剥了他的军装，拿着他的首级和盔甲，派人到非利士人之地的四境，报信给他们的偶像和百姓。

惟恐仇敌挑衅，他们的敌人误解，说，我们的手得胜了，这一切并非耶和华做的。’

住在地上的人会因他们而欢喜快乐，互相馈送礼物，因为这两位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。

参孙狠狠击杀他们，把他们连腿带腰都砍了。过后，他就下去，住在以坦岩的石洞里。

向罗网献祭，向渔网烧香；因为他藉此得丰盛的收获与肥美的食物。

耶和华—我们的上帝啊，现在求你救我们脱离亚述王的手，使地上万国都知道惟有你是耶和华。”

我这么做是为了我名的缘故，免得我的名在列国眼中被亵渎，因为在这些列国眼前我领了他们出来。

竟向天上的主自高，差人将他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。你又赞美那不能看、不能听、无知无识，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石造的神明，没有将荣耀归与那手中掌管你气息，管理你一切行动的上帝。

他们割下他的首级，剥了他的盔甲，派人到非利士人之地的四境，报信给他们庙里的偶像和众百姓。
