非利士民見參孫、頌美其神曰、我敵曾毀我土地、殺我多人、今我神付之於我手、

When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying,“ Our god has delivered our enemy into our hands, the one who laid waste our land and multiplied our slain.”

When the people saw Samson, they praised their god. They said,“ Our god has handed our enemy over to us. Our enemy has destroyed our land. He has killed large numbers of our people.”

And when the people saw him, they praised their god. For they said,“ Our god has given our enemy into our hand, the ravager of our country, who has killed many of us.”

他們飲酒，讚美金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明。

參孫說：「用驢腮骨，一堆又一堆；用驢腮骨，我殺了一千人。」

他們剝了他的軍裝，拿着他的首級和盔甲，派人到非利士人之地的四境，報信給他們的偶像和百姓。

惟恐仇敵挑釁，他們的敵人誤解，說，我們的手得勝了，這一切並非耶和華做的。』

住在地上的人會因他們而歡喜快樂，互相饋送禮物，因為這兩位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。

參孫狠狠擊殺他們，把他們連腿帶腰都砍了。過後，他就下去，住在以坦巖的石洞裏。

向羅網獻祭，向漁網燒香；因為他藉此得豐盛的收穫與肥美的食物。

耶和華－我們的上帝啊，現在求你救我們脫離亞述王的手，使地上萬國都知道惟有你是耶和華。」

我這麼做是為了我名的緣故，免得我的名在列國眼中被褻瀆，因為在這些列國眼前我領了他們出來。

竟向天上的主自高，差人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明，沒有將榮耀歸與那手中掌管你氣息，管理你一切行動的上帝。

他們割下他的首級，剝了他的盔甲，派人到非利士人之地的四境，報信給他們廟裏的偶像和眾百姓。
