And when their hearts were merry, they said,“ Call Samson, that he may entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he entertained them. They made him stand between the pillars.

Half drunk by now, the people demanded,“ Bring out Samson so he can amuse us!” So he was brought from the prison to amuse them, and they had him stand between the pillars supporting the roof.

When they were in good spirits, they said,“ Bring Samson here to entertain us.” So they brought Samson from prison, and he entertained them. They had him stand between the pillars.

It so happened when they were in high spirits, that they said,“ Call for Samson, that he may amuse us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he entertained them. And they made him stand between the pillars.

So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said,“ Call for Samson, that he may perform for us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars.

And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison- house; and he made sport before them. And they set him between the pillars:

於是二人坐下，一同吃喝。女子的父親對那人說：「請你答應再住一夜，使你的心舒暢。」

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們注意，暗嫩開懷暢飲的時候，我對你們說擊殺暗嫩，你們就殺他。不要懼怕，這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要剛強，作勇士！」

看哪，人卻歡喜快樂，宰牛殺羊，吃肉喝酒：「讓我們吃吃喝喝吧！因為明天要死了。」

我在患難中，他們卻歡喜，大家聚集，我所不認識的卑賤人聚集攻擊我，他們不住地撕裂我。他們試探我，不斷嘲笑我，向我咬牙切齒。

我的仇敵啊，不要向我誇耀。我雖跌倒，仍要起來；雖坐在黑暗裏，耶和華卻作我的光。我要承受耶和華的惱怒，直到他為我辯護，為我伸冤，因我得罪了他；他要領我進入光明，我必得見他的公義。那時我的仇敵看見這事就羞愧，他曾對我說：「耶和華－你的上帝在哪裏？」我必親眼見他遭報，現在，他必被踐踏，如同街上的泥土。

從那裏經過的人譏笑他，搖着頭，說：「你這拆毀殿、三日又建造起來的，救救你自己吧！如果你是上帝的兒子，就從十字架上下來呀！」眾祭司長、文士和長老也同樣嘲笑他，說：「他救了別人，不能救自己。他是以色列的王，現在從十字架上下來，我們就信他。他倚靠上帝，上帝若願意，現在就來救他，因為他曾說『我是上帝的兒子』。」和他同釘的強盜也這樣譏諷他。

信差奉王的命令急忙起行，敕令傳遍了書珊城堡。王同哈曼坐下飲酒，書珊城堡卻陷入慌亂中。

便‧哈達和諸王正在帳幕裏喝酒，聽見這話，就對他臣僕說：「擺陣吧！」他們就擺陣攻城。

用荊棘編了冠冕，戴在他頭上，拿一根蘆葦稈放在他右手裏，跪在他面前，戲弄他，說：「萬歲，猶太人的王！」

到了希律的生日，希羅底的女兒在眾人面前跳舞，使希律歡喜，於是希律發誓許諾隨她所求的給她。

因為你所擊打的，他們就迫害；你所擊傷的，他們述說他的愁苦。

那人同他的妾和僕人起身要走，但他岳父，就是女子的父親，對他說：「看哪，太陽下山，天快晚了，你們再住一夜吧。看哪，太陽偏西了，就在這裏住宿，使你的心舒暢，明天你們一早起來上路，回你的帳棚去。」

伯沙撒在歡飲之間，吩咐人將他父尼布甲尼撒從耶路撒冷聖殿所擄掠的金銀器皿拿來，好使王與大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。於是他們把聖殿，就是耶路撒冷上帝殿中所擄掠的金器皿拿來，王和大臣、王后、妃嬪就用這器皿飲酒。

「現在這些人以我為歌曲，以我為笑談。他們厭惡我，躲避我，不住地吐唾沫在我臉上。

坐在城門口的談論我，酒徒也以我為歌曲。

他們就吐唾沫在他臉上，用拳頭打他，也有打他耳光的，說：「基督啊，向我們說預言吧！打你的是誰？」

祭司心裏歡喜，拿着以弗得和家中的神像，以及雕刻的像，跟這些百姓走了。

你的仇敵跌倒，你不要歡喜，他傾倒，你的心不要快樂；恐怕耶和華看見就不喜悅，將怒氣從仇敵身上轉過來。

又有人忍受戲弄、鞭打、捆鎖、監禁、各等的磨煉；
