将不能朽坏之上帝的荣耀变为偶像，仿照必朽坏的人、飞禽、走兽、爬虫的形像。所以，上帝任凭他们随着心里的情欲行污秽的事，以致彼此羞辱自己的身体。他们将上帝的真实变为虚谎，去敬拜事奉受造之物，不敬奉那造物的主—主是可称颂的，直到永远。阿们！

“现在这些人以我为歌曲，以我为笑谈。他们厌恶我，躲避我，不住地吐唾沫在我脸上。

他们将扫罗的盔甲放在他们神明的庙里，把他的首级钉在大衮庙中。

你的仇敌跌倒，你不要欢喜，他倾倒，你的心不要快乐；

我在患难中，他们却欢喜，大家聚集，我所不认识的卑贱人聚集攻击我，他们不住地撕裂我。他们试探我，不断嘲笑我，向我咬牙切齿。

不，我是说，他们所献的祭是祭鬼，不是祭上帝；我不愿意你们与鬼来往。

万民都奉自己神明的名行事，我们却要奉耶和华—我们上帝的名而行，直到永永远远。

关于吃祭过偶像的食物，我们知道“偶像在世上算不得什么”；也知道“上帝只有一位，没有别的”。虽然在天上或地上有许多所谓的神明，就如他们中间有许多的神明，许多的主，

岂有一国换了它的神明吗？其实那不是神明！但我的百姓将他们的荣耀换了那无益的东西。
