Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

能忍者、我儕以為有福、爾曹聞約百之忍、亦知主賜其終境如何、蓋主最仁慈施憐憫、○

彼等以暫時忍受、換得永久之福樂、不亦可羨乎？約伯之忍耐、爾曾聞之、且曾見之。而主之如何溫燠其晚境、皆昭昭在爾耳目。主之富於惻怛哀矜、於此可見一斑。

As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

As you know, we think that people who don’t give up are blessed. You have heard that Job was patient. And you have seen what the Lord finally did for him. The Lord is full of tender mercy and loving concern.

Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.

See, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome that the Lord brought about— the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.

Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord— that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

Behold, we call them blessed that endured: ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord, how that the Lord is full of pity, and merciful.

See, we count as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Think of how we regard as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and you have seen the Lord’s purpose, that the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

He said,“ Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.”In all this, Job didn’t sin, nor charge God with wrongdoing.

Yahweh passed by before him, and proclaimed,“ Yahweh! Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth,

Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.“ Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

Yahweh is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.

You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.

Yahweh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before.Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that Yahweh had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.He had also seven sons and three daughters.He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch.In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, to four generations.So Job died, being old and full of days.

But he said to her,“ You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job didn’t sin with his lips.

Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved in various trials,that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

‘ Yahweh is slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, forgiving iniquity and disobedience; and he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation.’

But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.

My God, turn your ear, and hear. Open your eyes, and see our desolations, and the city which is called by your name; for we do not present our petitions before you for our righteousness, but for your great mercies’ sake.Lord, hear. Lord, forgive. Lord, listen and do. Don’t defer, for your own sake, my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.”

“ Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.

But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,

It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail.

Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.

But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end,

I will tell of the loving kindnesses of Yahweh and the praises of Yahweh, according to all that Yahweh has given to us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has given to them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, and teach out of your law,

Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.

David said to Gad,“ I am in distress. Let me fall, I pray, into Yahweh’s hand; for his mercies are very great. Don’t let me fall into man’s hand.”

Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good; for his loving kindness endures forever.Give thanks to the God of gods; for his loving kindness endures forever.Give thanks to the Lord of lords; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who alone does great wonders; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who by understanding made the heavens; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who spread out the earth above the waters; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who made the great lights; for his loving kindness endures forever:the sun to rule by day; for his loving kindness endures forever;the moon and stars to rule by night; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who struck down the Egyptian firstborn; for his loving kindness endures forever;and brought out Israel from among them; for his loving kindness endures forever;with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who divided the Red Sea apart; for his loving kindness endures forever;and made Israel to pass through the middle of it; for his loving kindness endures forever;but overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who led his people through the wilderness; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who struck great kings; for his loving kindness endures forever;and killed mighty kings; for his loving kindness endures forever:Sihon king of the Amorites; for his loving kindness endures forever;Og king of Bashan; for his loving kindness endures forever;and gave their land as an inheritance; for his loving kindness endures forever;even a heritage to Israel his servant; for his loving kindness endures forever:who remembered us in our low estate; for his loving kindness endures forever;and has delivered us from our adversaries; for his loving kindness endures forever:who gives food to every creature; for his loving kindness endures forever.Oh give thanks to the God of heaven; for his loving kindness endures forever.

Better is the end of a thing than its beginning. The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times.Don’t remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness’ sake, Yahweh.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness; for we have rebelled against him.

Yahweh is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and in his pity he redeemed them. He bore them, and carried them all the days of old.

His mercy is for generations of generations on those who fear him.

Turn to me, and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name.

But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.

For if you turn again to Yahweh, your brothers and your children will find compassion before those who led them captive, and will come again into this land, because Yahweh your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.”

Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.

and refused to obey. They weren’t mindful of your wonders that you did among them, but hardened their neck, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage. But you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and didn’t forsake them.

but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

Like a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him.

Mark the perfect man, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

He prayed to Yahweh, and said,“ Please, Yahweh, wasn’t this what I said when I was still in my own country? Therefore I hurried to flee to Tarshish, for I knew that you are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and you relent of doing harm.

Behold, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.This also will be my salvation, that a godless man will not come before him.

But he, being merciful, forgave iniquity, and didn’t destroy them. Yes, many times he turned his anger away, and didn’t stir up all his wrath.

Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ—

For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.

to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved,

There were born to him seven sons and three daughters.

“ Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you didn’t make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.
