“ Ha! Leave us alone, Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are– the Holy One of God.”

Listen, Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!

Now an intermediary is not for one party alone, but God is one.

For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human,

But the evil spirit replied to them,“ I know about Jesus and I am acquainted with Paul, but who are you?”

Since God is one, he will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are too, and they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever.

I do this so people will recognize from east to west that there is no God but me; I am the LORD, I have no peer.

one Lord, one faith, one baptism,one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

But if you fulfill the royal law as expressed in this scripture,“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

Now this is eternal life– that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.

He also said to them,“ You neatly reject the commandment of God in order to set up your tradition.

Tell me! Present the evidence! Let them consult with one another! Who predicted this in the past? Who announced it beforehand? Was it not I, the LORD? While Paul was discussing righteousness, self- control, and the coming judgment, Felix became frightened and said,“ Go away for now, and when I have an opportunity, I will send for you.”

The LORD said,“ Are you really so very angry?”

God said to Jonah,“ Are you really so very angry about the little plant?” And he said,“ I am as angry as I could possibly be!”
