愚蠢的人啊，你们不知道没有行为的信心是死的吗？

愚昧的人哪，你愿意知道没有行为的信心是没有用的吗？

唉，你这虚空的人哪！你想知道没有行为的信仰是无用的吗？

虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是死的嗎？

你這虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是沒有用的嗎？

你這虛浮的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是沒有用的嗎？

愚蠢的人啊，你們不知道沒有行為的信心是死的嗎？

愚昧的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是沒有用的嗎？

虛妄的人哪，你願意知道沒有行為的信心是不行的麼？

唉，你這虛空的人哪！你想知道沒有行為的信仰是無用的嗎？

虛誕之人歟、豈不知行外之信乃死乎、

虛誕之人乎、爾當知信而不行、其信歸於無有、

無知者乎、爾欲知無行之信乃死乎、

嗚呼、爾亦淺人也已！爾亦知無行之信、乃為空虛無實乎？

You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?

You foolish person! Do you want proof that faith without good deeds is useless?

Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?

How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

Senseless person! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?

But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is barren?

Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?

The one who works his field will have plenty of food, but whoever chases daydreams lacks wisdom.

For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.

For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.

This is what the Lord says:“ What fault could your ancestors have possibly found in me that they strayed so far from me? They paid allegiance to worthless idols, and so became worthless to me.

Some have strayed from these and turned away to empty discussion.

For he knows deceitful men; when he sees evil, will he not consider it?But an empty man will become wise, when a wild donkey’s colt is born a human being.

For there are many rebellious people, idle talkers, and deceivers, especially those with Jewish connections,

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision carries any weight– the only thing that matters is faith working through love.

Be careful not to allow anyone to captivate you through an empty, deceitful philosophy that is according to human traditions and the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

Take notice of this, you ignorant people! You fools, when will you ever understand?Does the one who makes the human ear not hear? Does the one who forms the human eye not see?Does the one who disciplines the nations not punish? He is the one who imparts knowledge to human beings!The LORD knows that peoples’ thoughts are morally bankrupt.

If someone thinks he is religious yet does not bridle his tongue, and so deceives his heart, his religion is futile.

For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

But someone will say,“ How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?”Fool! What you sow will not come to life unless it dies.
