and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

Work hard to feed hungry people. Satisfy the needs of those who are crushed. Then my blessing will light up your darkness. And the night of your suffering will become as bright as the noonday sun.

if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.

Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.

If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday.

You must actively help the hungry and feed the oppressed. Then your light will dispel the darkness, and your darkness will be transformed into noonday.

他必使你的理直如光發出，使你的案件明如中午。

你一生的日程必昇得比中午更明朗；雖有黑暗，仍像早晨。

豈不是把你的食物分給饑餓的人，將流浪的貧困人帶到你家中，見赤身裸體的、給他衣服遮身，而不躲藏避開你骨肉之親麼？這樣，你的光就必暴發如破曉，你的新肉就必迅速地生；你的義氣就必在你前頭行進；永恆主的榮光就必做你的後衛了。

有的人大方地花錢，反而更添財；有的人過度不放手，反致窮乏。慷慨施捨的人必得豐裕；滋潤人的、自己必得滋潤。

『但是在永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的地上、無論在哪一個城內、你哪一個族弟兄中若有一個窮人在你中間，你對窮的族弟兄總不可忍着心、而揝着手。你對他總要展開手，照他所缺乏的、借足給他、去補他的缺乏。你要謹慎，不可心裏生起卑鄙的念頭、說：「第七年豁免年近了」，你便惡眉惡眼斜視着你窮的族弟兄，甚麼都不給他，以致他因你而呼求永恆主，你就有罪了。你總要給他；給他的時候你不要心疼，因為因了這事的緣故永恆主你的上帝總要在你一切工作上、在你下手辦的一切事上、賜福與你。

我必領瞎子行不認識的路，他們不知道的路徑、我必帶他們走。我必使黑暗在他們面前變為亮光，使彎曲變為平直：這些事我都要作，決不放棄。

欺壓貧寒的、是辱沒了造他的主；恩待窮苦的是尊敬上帝。

當那日子聾子必聽見這卷書上的話；瞎子的眼必從朦朧黑暗中得以看見。

恩待人、借給人的、這人必有福利；他以公正維持自己的事務。因為他永不動搖：義人必永遠被記念。壞消息他也不懼怕；他的心堅定，倚靠着永恆主。他的心鎮定，總不懼怕，直到他看見他敵人遭報。他布施、他給予貧窮；他的仁義存立到永遠；他的角光榮地高舉。

給予貧窮的、不致缺乏；掩目不看的、必多受咒詛。

耶穌聽見了，就對他說，『你還缺了一件：要變賣你一切所有的，以分給窮人，你就有財寶在天上；你來吧，來跟從我。』

關心於貧寒人的有福啊；他遭難的日子、永恆主必搭救他。
