我必不永遠斥責、不恆久震怒、恐我所造之人、心神困憊、

我必不永远相争，也不长久发怒，恐怕我所造的人与灵性都必发昏。

I will not accuse them forever, nor will I always be angry, for then they would faint away because of me— the very people I have created.

I will not find fault with my people forever. I will not always be angry with them. If I were, I would cause their spirits to grow weak. The people I created would faint away.

For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before me, and the breath of life that I made.

不常久責備、不永遠懷怒、未嘗按我之罪惡待我、未嘗依我之過犯報我、敬畏主者、主加倍賜恩、如天離地之高、主除我愆尤、如東極離西極之遠、敬畏主者、主憐恤之、如父之憐恤其子、因主知我之性情、念我不過塵土、世人之歲月如草、其生發如野地之花、一經風吹、便歸無有、其原處亦不復識之、

摩西亞倫俯伏於地曰、天主賜生氣於一切身軀者、或作天主賜生命於凡有血氣者一人犯罪、而主震怒全會乎、

主天主造諸天而張之、闢地及造其上之萬物、以生氣賦地上之生民、以靈性畀凡行於地者、今如是云、

主曰、人既為肉體、我之神不恆居於其內、或作我之神不永與之爭姑容其一百二十年、或作以後其壽命至一百二十年

西底家王私誓謂耶利米曰、我指造我生命永生主而誓、必不殺爾、亦不付爾於索爾命者之手、

人身為塵、仍歸於土、靈魂為天主所賦畀、仍歸於天主、

主有言論以色列、張天奠地、造人內靈氣之主曰、

天主所賜之生氣、如定意使歸於己、則凡有血氣者必死亡、世人皆歸於塵、
