你原本是我栽種的上等葡萄樹，是最好的品種。你怎麼自甘墮落，變成了野葡萄？

祂遠遠看見有一棵枝葉茂盛的無花果樹，就走過去找果子吃。到了樹下，卻什麼也找不到，只有滿樹的葉子，因為當時不是收無花果的季節。

他們猶如來自所多瑪、長在蛾摩拉的葡萄樹，結的葡萄粒粒有毒，串串苦澀；釀的酒如蛇的毒液，如眼鏡蛇的毒液。

有誰當兵要自備糧餉呢？有誰栽種葡萄園，卻不吃園中出產的葡萄呢？有誰牧養牛羊，卻不喝牛羊的奶呢？

諸天啊，請聽！大地啊，要側耳聽！耶和華說：「我把孩子撫育成人，他們竟然背叛我。牛認識主人，驢也認得主人的槽，以色列卻不認識，我的子民卻不明白。」唉！你們這罪惡的民族，惡貫滿盈的百姓，作惡的子孫，敗壞的兒女！你們背棄耶和華，藐視以色列的聖者，與祂疏遠。

祂看見路旁有一棵無花果樹，便走過去，卻發現除了葉子外什麼也沒有。祂對那棵樹說：「你將再不會結果子！」那棵樹立刻枯萎了。

「到葡萄成熟時，園主派一個奴僕去收取他該得的一份。

你若不與我們同去，誰會知道我和你的子民在你面前蒙了恩呢？豈不是因為你的同在才使我們不同於地上其他民族嗎？」

萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列，祂所喜愛的葡萄樹就是猶大人。祂希望看到公平，卻只看見殺戮；指望看到公義，卻只聽見冤聲。

你的衣服為何是紅色的，好像榨酒池中踩踏葡萄者的衣服？「我獨自在榨酒池踩踏，萬民中無人跟我在一起。我在憤怒中踩踏他們，在烈怒中踐踏他們；他們的血濺到我的衣服上，染紅了我的衣服。

到了收穫的季節，他差奴僕去葡萄園向佃戶收取他應得的收成，但那些佃戶卻把奴僕揍了一頓，使他空手而歸。園主又派另一個奴僕去，那些佃戶照樣將他毆打並羞辱一番，使他空手而歸。園主又派第三個奴僕去，他們又把他打傷，拋在園外。「園主說，『我該怎樣辦呢？不如叫我所疼愛的兒子去吧。他們大概會尊敬他。』「豈料那些佃戶看見來人是園主的兒子，便彼此商量說，『這個人是產業繼承人，我們把他殺掉，這葡萄園就歸我們了！』於是他們把園主的兒子拖到葡萄園外殺了。「那麼，園主會怎樣處治他們呢？他必來殺掉這些佃戶，把葡萄園轉租給別人。」眾人聽了就說：「但願這種事永遠不會發生！」耶穌定睛看著他們，問道：「那麼，聖經上說，『工匠丟棄的石頭已成了房角石』，這句話是什麼意思呢？凡跌在這石頭上的人，將粉身碎骨；這石頭落在誰身上，將把誰砸爛。」

那些天，我在猶大看見有人在安息日榨酒，搬運禾捆馱在驢背上，又在安息日把酒、葡萄、無花果和各樣的出產帶進耶路撒冷。我就在他們賣食物的那天警告他們。

耶路撒冷啊，你這忠貞的妻子竟變成了妓女！你從前充滿公平，是公義之家，現在卻住著兇手。你曾經像銀子，現在卻像渣滓；曾經像美酒，現在卻像攙了水的酒。你的首領是叛逆之徒，與盜賊為伍，個個收受賄賂，貪圖好處，不為孤兒辯護，不替寡婦伸冤。

當初，至高者賜萬國產業，把人類分開，祂依照天使的數目，為萬族定疆界。但以色列人屬於耶和華，雅各是祂的產業。

僅存的錫安城也像葡萄園裡的草棚、瓜田中的茅舍、被困無援的孤城。

又有一位掌管烈火的天使從祭壇那裡出來，對手拿鐮刀的天使高喊：「揮動你鋒利的鐮刀，收取地上葡萄樹的果實吧！它們已經熟透了。」於是，那天使揮動鐮刀，收取了地上的葡萄，拋到上帝烈怒的大榨酒池中。葡萄在城外的榨酒池中被踩踏，血從榨酒池中湧出，高至馬的嚼環，流了三百公里遠。

後來，參孫在梭烈谷愛上一位名叫大利拉的女子。

上帝啊，我們親耳聽過祖先講述你在古時，在我們祖先時代的作為。你親手趕出外族，把我們的祖先安置在那裡；你擊潰列邦，使我們的祖先興旺發達。他們不是靠自己的刀劍征服那裡，不是靠自己的臂膀得勝，而是靠你的權能、力量和恩惠，因為你愛他們。

我從峰頂觀看他們，從高崗眺望他們，這獨居一方之民，不與萬國同列。

於是，耶穌說了一個比喻：「有人在葡萄園裡種了一棵無花果樹，他去樹那裡找果子，卻找不到。他對園丁說，『三年來，我一直盼望它結果子，它卻一個也沒結。把它砍了，免得白佔土地。』

以色列是茂盛的葡萄樹，碩果纍纍。可是，他結果越多，建造的祭壇就越多；土地出產越豐富，他就把神柱裝飾得越美麗。

愚昧無知的人啊，你們就這樣報答耶和華嗎？祂是你們的父，你們的創造主，祂創造了你們，塑造了你們。

身為以色列人，他們擁有上帝兒子的名分、上帝的榮耀、諸約、律法、聖殿敬拜和各種應許。

到了收穫的季節，園主派奴僕到佃戶那裡收果子。

「你這羊群的瞭望塔，錫安城的堅壘啊！從前的國權——耶路撒冷城的王位必重新歸你。」
