I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

萬軍之耶和華曰、我依義興起古列、平直其途、彼必建我城邑、釋我俘囚、不望其值、不圖其賞、○

我萬有之主耶和華、使古列、屹然而立、道途坦易、以彰我義、彼必復建我聖邑、釋我俘囚、不望賞賚。

我彰顯仁義、使古列興起、使其道途平直、彼必復建我邑、釋我被擄之民、不欲贖金、不圖賞賚、此乃萬有之主所言、

I will raise up Cyrus in my righteousness: I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price or reward, says the Lord Almighty.”

I will stir up Cyrus and help him win his battles. I will make all his roads straight. He will rebuild Jerusalem. My people have been taken away from their country. But he will set them free. I will not pay him to do it. He will not receive a reward for it,” says the Lord who rules over all.

I will raise up Cyrus to fulfill my righteous purpose, and I will guide his actions. He will restore my city and free my captive people— without seeking a reward! I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!”

Who raised up the righteous[ man] from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made[ him] rule over kings? he gave[ them] as the dust to his sword,[ and] as driven stubble to his bow.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and[ as for] gold, they shall not delight in it.

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD[ spoken] by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and[ put it] also in writing, saying,Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which[ is] in Judah. Who[ is there] among you of all his people? The LORD his God[ be] with him, and let him go up.

I have raised up[ one] from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as[ upon] morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.

But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Who[ is there] among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which[ is] in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel,( he[ is] the God,) which[ is] in Jerusalem.

All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these[ things]? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm[ shall be on] the Chaldeans.I,[ even] I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,[ as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation[ received] by tradition from your fathers;But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

That saith of Cyrus,[ He is] my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call[ thee] by thy name,[ am] the God of Israel.For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.I[ am] the LORD, and[ there is] none else,[ there is] no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that[ there is] none beside me. I[ am] the LORD, and[ there is] none else.

Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken[ it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed[ it], I will also do it.

Shake thyself from the dust; arise,[ and] sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day[ is] blasphemed.

I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

[ By] terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation;[ who art] the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off[ upon] the sea:

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:Whom God hath set forth[ to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;To declare,[ I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
