Behold, it was for my welfare that I had great bitterness; but in love you have delivered my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

Yes, this anguish was good for me, for you have rescued me from death and forgiven all my sins.

『我，我獨一無二的那位，那為我自己的緣故塗抹了你的過犯的，我的罪我也不再記起了。

他們各人必不再教導自己的鄰舍、和自己的弟兄，說：「你該認識永恆主！」因為他們從最小的、到至大的、都必認識我，永恆主發神諭說：因為我要赦免他們的罪孽；他們的罪、我必不再追念。』

永恆主啊，你曾把我從陰間救上來，使我從下陰坑的人中間活過來。

有哪一位神能比得上你、赦免罪孽、不追究你產業之餘民的過犯呢？他不永遠懷怒，因為他喜悅堅愛。他必再憐憫我們，將我們的罪孽踹在腳下，將我們一切的罪投於海的深處。

在山根兒之處。我下到地府，其門閂永遠攔隔着我；但永恆主我的上帝啊，你卻將我的性命從冥坑中拉上去。

因為你施與我的堅愛宏大；你援救了我的性命免下陰間之最低處。

你既赦免了你人民的罪孽，掩沒了他們一切的過犯，（細拉）

我算跟下陰坑的人同列，就如毫無助力的人一般：我這一條命如在死人之中，正像被刺的人、留着入墓一樣；就是你不再記得的，跟你的手隔絕的。你把我放在陰坑之最低層，在黑暗地方、極深之處。

他把我從毁滅坑裏、從淤泥中拉上，使我的腳立在磐石上，使我的步伐穩當。

我，我優游順遂時也曾說過：『我永不動搖。』永恆主啊，由於你的恩悅、我就立得穩在鞏固山上。但你掩了面，我便驚惶。

那時我心裏說：「我必善終於我的巢窩；我必增多我的年日如塵沙；

由於驕橫、惡人把困苦人追得火急；願他們在自己設的計謀裏被捉住。

因為我所恐懼的竟來到我身上，我所懼怕的偏臨到於我。我不得安寧，不得平靜，我不得安息；卻有煩擾來侵。』
