彼論耶路撒冷之上帝、同於人手所造列邦之神、

耶和華遣使於亞述王營、滅其勇土、軍長將帥、亞述王蒙羞、返其故土、入其神廟、為其親生之子所弒、

當告猶大王希西家云、爾所恃之上帝、謂耶路撒冷必不付於亞述王手、爾勿為其所欺、

勿聽希西家使爾恃耶和華曰耶和華必救我、此城必不付於亞述王手、

我列祖所滅諸國、其神誰拯其民脫於我手、爾之上帝、能拯爾脫於我手乎、

啟明之晨星歟、何自天而隕乎、屈抑列邦者歟、何見斫於地乎、
