祂一發怒，大地震動，山的根基搖晃。祂的鼻孔冒煙，口噴烈焰和火炭。祂撥開雲天，腳踩密雲，親自降臨。

耶和華啊，你向我們發怒，要到何時呢？難道要到永遠嗎？你的怒火要燒到何時呢？

「路人啊，你們都無動於衷嗎？你們看看，耶和華向我發烈怒，降禍於我，還有誰比我更痛苦呢？「祂從高天降下火來，焚燒我的骨頭；祂在我腳前設下網羅，使我返回；祂使我淒涼孤寂，終日痛苦。

我看見寶座已設立，上面坐著亙古長存者，祂的衣服潔白如雪，頭髮如純淨的羊毛。祂的寶座是火焰，寶座的輪子是烈火。

在祂面前，群山震動，丘陵消融。在祂面前，大地隆起，世界和世上的一切都戰慄。祂發怒，誰能站立？祂發烈怒，誰能承受？祂的憤怒如火焰噴湧而出，磐石在祂面前崩裂。

因此，主——萬軍之耶和華必使亞述王強健的士兵疾病纏身，使火焰吞噬他的榮耀。以色列的光必成為火焰，他們的聖者必成為烈火，一日之間燒光亞述王的荊棘和蒺藜。

這樣，日落之處的人必敬畏耶和華的名，日出之地的人必對祂的榮耀肅然起敬。祂必奔來，如被耶和華之氣推動的急流。

耶和華說：「亞述王有禍了！他是我的憤怒之棍，他手中拿著我發烈怒的杖。
