故我必行異跡於民間、神妙莫測、智者窒其慧、明者塞其聰、

Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.”

So once more I will shock these people with many wonderful acts. I will destroy the wisdom of those who think they are so wise. I will do away with the cleverness of those who think they are so smart.”

therefore, behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”

Because of this, I will once again astound these hypocrites with amazing wonders. The wisdom of the wise will pass away, and the intelligence of the intelligent will disappear.”

Therefore, I will again confound these people with wonder after wonder. The wisdom of their wise will vanish, and the perception of their perceptive will be hidden.

Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous; And the wisdom of their wise men will perish, And the understanding of their men who have understanding will be concealed.”

主曰、爾曹當觀於異邦中、必甚駭異、當爾之時、我將行一事、雖有人告爾、爾亦不信、

主必興起、如昔在毘拉心山、震怒如昔在基遍谷、欲行其事、即非常之事、欲成其工、即奇異之工、

論以東有預言曰、萬有之主如是云、提幔更無智慧乎、哲人不復有謀略乎、其智慧盡滅乎、

曰、往哉、告斯民云、爾曹雖聽、聽而不聰、爾曹雖視、視而不明、使斯民心蒙、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視、耳聽、心悟悔改、而得醫治、

天主與摩西言、我所知也、若此人、我不知其何自、其人答曰、異哉此事、彼明我目、而爾不知其何自、我儕知天主不聽罪人、惟欽崇天主、而遵行其旨者、天主則聽之、亙古以來、未聞有人能明生而瞽者之目、此人若非由天主、則無所能為也、眾謂之曰、爾全身生於罪中、而反教我乎、遂逐之出、

經載云、我將滅智者之智、廢慧者之慧、智者安在、經士安在、斯世之辯士安在、天主豈非使斯世之智為愚乎、世既以智不識天主、則天主喜以宣道之愚、救諸信者、此乃天主之智也、猶太人索異跡、希拉人求智慧、惟我儕宣釘十字架之基督、猶太人視為礙、礙或作可厭希拉人視為愚、惟蒙召者、無論猶太人、希拉人、皆以基督為天主之大能、天主之智慧、

主曰、當是日我必自以東地、殲有智者、自以掃山、滅明哲人、

耶穌曰、我為審判臨世、使不見者得見、見者反瞽、旁有數法利賽人聞此言、謂耶穌曰、我儕亦瞽乎、耶穌曰、爾若瞽、則無罪、今爾云我能見、則爾罪尚存也、

我告爾、昔有多先知及君王、欲見爾所見而不得見、欲聞爾所聞而不得聞、○

空中之鶴、鶴或作慈鳥往來知其期、班鳩與燕與雁、皆知守候當來之時、惟我民不識主之法度、爾豈可自誇曰、我儕有智慧、主之律法為我所有、作律法徒然矣、繕寫律法徒然矣、自稱為智者、必愧怍驚恐而見拘、彼棄主言、焉得為智乎、

使巧者陷於己之狡計、使譎者之謀速敗、

瑣安之候伯、盡為愚蒙、法老謀士之智者、其謀忽成拙計、焉能告法老曰、我乃先賢之後、古王之裔哉、爾之智慧者安在、萬有之主為伊及所定之謀、謀或作命下同彼當知之、當告爾、瑣安之侯伯愚蒙、挪弗之侯伯迷惑、伊及諸支派之領袖、謬引伊及人、主使伊及侯伯、心皆昏昧、以致使伊及人諸事差謬、若醉者哇吐時、跬步不穩、

其言云、往告此民曰、爾將聽而不聰、視而不明、蓋此民之心冥頑、自聾其耳、自閉其目、免其目視耳聽心悟、悔改而我醫之、

彼雖知天主、不以天主尊之、亦不謝之、乃思念虛妄、心以頑而愈昧、自稱為智、反成愚魯、

爾曹惟驚駭驚異、惟迷昧迷蒙、彼醉並非因酒、步履欹斜、並非因飲醉人之物、蓋主使爾猶如酣睡、閉爾目、蒙爾首、爾目即先知、爾首即先見、

蓋此世之智、在天主前為愚、如經載云、主令智者自中其詭計、

彼既不願存天主於念、天主聽其存邪僻之心、行所不當行者、

伊及人必失慧於心、其謀為我所敗、必問於偶像、念咒者、交鬼者、占卜者、
