仇敌被灭尽，敌国成为永久的废墟；你把他们的城市拔出，连他们的名号也消亡了。

他用强有力的声音呼喊说：“倒塌了！大巴比伦倒塌了！她成了鬼魔居住的地方、一切污灵的巢穴、一切污秽鸟类的巢穴、一切污秽可憎野兽的巢穴。原来万国都喝了她淫乱愤怒的酒，地上的众君王曾与她行淫乱，地上的商人也由于她极度的骄奢淫逸而发了财。”

记念义人带来祝福，恶人的名却必朽烂。

但到了惩罚的日子，当毁灭从远方临到时，你们要怎么办呢？你们要逃到谁那里求帮助呢？你们要把自己的财富留在哪里呢？

说：“起来，带着孩子和他的母亲回以色列地去，因为那些追索这孩子性命的人已经死了。”

而你却被抛出坟墓，如同一根被憎恶的枝子；你被那些遭刀剑刺透杀死、落入石坑的人所覆盖，如同一具被践踏的尸体。你必不能与其他君王同葬，因为你毁坏了你的国，杀戮了你的民。愿作恶者的后裔永不被提起！你们要为他的子孙预备好屠宰场，这是因他们祖先的罪孽；他们绝不会再兴起、占有地土、在世上布满城镇。”“我必起来攻击他们！”万军之耶和华如此宣告。“我必把巴比伦的名号、余剩者、子孙后代都剪除！”耶和华如此宣告。

“我，是我安慰你们；你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被弃如草芥的世人；竟忘记了那造你的耶和华，就是展开诸天、奠定大地根基的那一位；竟终日不断地惧怕，就是惧怕压迫者预备行毁灭时的怒火！其实那压迫者的怒火在哪里呢？

属你的死人必活过来，他们的尸体必起来；住在尘土里的啊，当醒来欢呼！因为你的甘露像天光的甘露，地要交出阴魂。

其余死去的人还没有活过来，直到这一千年完结。这是第一次的复活。

接着，我看见那兽和地上的众君王以及他们的军兵聚集在一起，要与骑白马的那一位和他的军队作战。但那兽被抓了；那假先知也与它一起被抓了——他在兽面前行了许多奇迹，藉此迷惑那些接受兽的印记并膜拜兽像的人。兽和那假先知两个都活生生地被丢进燃烧着硫磺的火湖里。其余的人，也都被骑白马那一位口中所发出的剑杀死了。所有的鸟都吃饱了他们的肉。
