又以塵蒙首哭而哀、呼曰、禍哉、禍哉、大邑乎、凡有舟於海者、自其豐厚而致富、半時間成為荒墟矣、

適有軍旅、乘馬耦行而來、語曰、巴比倫傾圮矣、傾圮矣、其神之雕像、悉毀於地矣、

爾諸保障、如無花果之初實、一經搖撼、則落於食者之口、爾境之民、同於婦女、爾國之門、啟於敵前、門楗為火所焚、爾其汲水以備受困、堅爾保障、踐泥擣土、執持磚模、任爾多若蝻蝗、眾若蟿螽、在彼火將焚爾、刃將滅爾、如為蝻蝗所吞、

大聲呼曰、傾矣乎、傾矣乎、大巴比倫也、成為羣魔之居所、及凡邪鬼與污鳥可憎者之囹圄、蓋萬邦因其淫亂干怒之酒而傾、世上諸王、與之行淫、諸商因其奢華之甚而致富、○

使其地為蝟所據、變為水澤、掃以滅亡之帚、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、○

人不取爾石為屋隅、為基址、爾必永為荒蕪、耶和華言之矣、

聚其貨財於衢、為爾上帝耶和華焚之、並焚其邑、俾為邱墟、毋得再建、

以法蓮之保障、大馬色之國祚、亞蘭之遺民、俱必滅絕、若以色列之榮然、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、○
