And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the Lord Almighty is planning against them.

The people of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians. Everyone in Egypt who hears the name of Judah will be terrified. That’s because of what the Lord who rules over all is planning to do to them.

And the land of Judah will become a terror to the Egyptians. Everyone to whom it is mentioned will fear because of the purpose that the Lord of hosts has purposed against them.

Just to speak the name of Israel will terrorize them, for the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has laid out his plans against them.

The land of Judah will terrify Egypt; whenever Judah is mentioned, Egypt will tremble because of what the LORD of Armies has planned against it.

The land of Judah will become a cause of shame to Egypt; everyone to whom it is mentioned will be in great fear because of the plan of the Lord of armies which He is making against them.

And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts which He has determined against it.

世間萬民、視若虛無、天上萬軍、世上萬民、隨意而待、無能禦之、無能詰之曰、爾何為、

希西家王十四年、亞述王西拿基立上攻猶大一切鞏固之城取焉、

伊及一切居民、必知我乃主、以色列族賴伊及人、伊及人乃若蘆葦之杖、彼執爾手、爾則斷折、使彼傷其肩、彼倚爾時、爾則斷折、使彼損其腰、使彼損其腰或作使彼腰骨閃錯

主在答比匿、有言諭耶利米曰、爾取大石、藏於灰泥中、於磚窰間、於磚窰間或作於鋪磚處在答比匿法老之宮門前、使猶大人目睹、告之曰、萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、我必遣我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒至此、置其寶座在藏石之所、張其寶幄在其上、既至、必攻擊伊及國、當死者必死、當被擄者必被擄、當就刃者必就刃、我必以火焚燬伊及諸神廟、使巴比倫王、或焚、或擄、彼得伊及甚易、如牧者披衣、後必安然而去、必毀伊及地日城之偶像、火焚伊及一切神廟、

其得脫於鋒刃、自伊及地復歸猶大地者、數人而已、厥後猶大遺民、至伊及以居者、必知誰之言應驗、我之言歟、抑彼之言歟、主曰、我在伊及伊及原文作斯處將罰爾、有兆可證、使爾知我言降災於爾、必有效驗、主如是云、我將伊及王法老合弗拉、付於索其命之敵手、如我曾以猶大王西底家、付於索其命之敵巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒手、

亦予伊及王法老、及其臣僕、侯伯眾民、

我自始而示終、在昔時預言未成之事、我言我之謀必立、凡我所悅者、我必成之、召彼鷙鳥、至自東土、召我所命定之人、來自遠方、我言既出必成之、我謀既定必行之、

爾必告之曰、萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、爾曹當飲、飲醉以致吐哇、傾仆不起、因我必使鋒刃之災臨爾曹、如彼不願接爵於爾手以飲、則爾告之曰、萬有之主如是云、爾必飲之、歸我名之邑、我且降災、或作斯邑為籲我名之所我且降災爾曹豈能免於災乎、決不得免、我必使天下萬民、俱遭鋒刃之災、此乃萬有之主所言、爾當向眾述此預言、告之曰、主自上號呼、自其聖居發聲、向己之居所號呼、向天下萬民號呼、若踐葡萄於壓酒處者之號呼、號呼之聲、聞至地極、蓋主譴責列邦、審鞫凡有血氣者、以作惡者付諸鋒刃、此乃主所言、

是時主諭亞摩斯子以賽亞曰、爾釋麻衣於腰、脫履於足、以賽亞遂遵命、裸裎跣足而行、主曰、我僕以賽亞、裸裎跣足而行、歷三年、可為預兆於伊及古實、亞述王將所擄之伊及人、所掠之古實人、悉攜之去、無論老幼、皆使裸裎跣足、露其下體、以辱伊及、凡恃古實誇伊及者、或作凡仰望古實倚恃伊及為榮者必皆恐懼慚愧、

此乃我於天下所定之謀、於列國所行之罰、萬有之主既定其謀、誰能廢之、既行其罰、孰能禦之、○
