Your rulers are rebels, partners with thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts. They do not defend the cause of the fatherless; the widow’s case does not come before them.

Your rulers refuse to obey the Lord. They join forces with robbers. All of them love to accept money from those who want special favors. They are always looking for gifts from other people. They don’t stand up in court for children whose fathers have died. They don’t do it for widows either.

Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe and runs after gifts. They do not bring justice to the fatherless, and the widow’s cause does not come to them.

Your leaders are rebels, the companions of thieves. All of them love bribes and demand payoffs, but they refuse to defend the cause of orphans or fight for the rights of widows.

不要欺壓寡婦、孤兒、寄居者和困苦人，各人不要在心裡向自己的兄弟謀劃惡事。』

他說：「某城裡有一個審判官，他既不敬畏神，也不尊重人。那城裡有一個寡婦，經常到他那裡去，說：『請為我向我的對頭討個公道。』「法官一直不肯，但是後來心裡說：『即使我不敬畏神，也不尊重人，還是因為這寡婦不斷地煩擾我，我就為她討個公道，免得她一直來，到最後使我疲憊不堪！』」

禍哉！那些制定邪惡律例、記錄不義判決的！他們拒絕貧弱者的申訴，剝奪我子民中困苦人的公理，使寡婦成為他們的掠物，又掠奪孤兒。

耶和華開庭審判他子民中的長老和首領，說：「就是你們，吞盡了葡萄園；從困苦人那裡搶來的東西，就在你們家中。

對他們說：「經上記著：『我的殿將被稱為禱告的殿』，而你們卻使它成為賊窩了！」

萬軍之耶和華說：「我必臨近你們施行審判；我要快快作證控告那些行巫術的、通姦的、起假誓的、在工酬上欺壓雇工的、欺壓孤兒寡婦的、屈枉寄居者的，以及不敬畏我的！

到了第二天，猶太人的首領、長老和經文士們都聚集在耶路撒冷。大祭司亞納、該亞法、約翰、亞歷山大，以及大祭司家族的人都在那裡。他們叫彼得和約翰站在中間，質問他們，說：「你們憑著什麼能力，以誰的名做這事？」那時，彼得被聖靈充滿，對他們說：「民眾的首領和長老們，如果我們今天因在一個殘疾人身上所行的善事，被查問這個人怎樣得到救治，那麼，你們大家和所有以色列子民應當知道：這個人健全地站在你們面前，是藉著拿撒勒人耶穌基督的名。這位耶穌基督，你們把他釘上十字架，但是神使他從死人中復活了！這一位就是『被你們工匠所藐視的石頭，它已經成了房角的頭塊石頭。』

與竊賊分贓的，恨惡自己的性命；即使聽見要被詛咒，他也不坦白。

耶穌教導他們說：「經上不是記著『我的殿將被稱為萬國禱告的殿』嗎？而你們卻使它成為賊窩了！」

那行事公義、說話正直、厭棄壓榨所得的利益、搖手不受賄賂、掩耳不聽殺人流血之計、閉眼不看邪惡之事的，

我們犯了罪，行事扭曲，作惡背叛，偏離了你的誡命和法規，沒有聽從你的僕人眾先知——他們奉你的名向我們的君王們、首領們、祖先們和這地所有的子民說話。

對他們說：「經上記著：『我的殿將成為禱告的殿』，而你們卻使它成為賊窩了！」

惡人私下收取賄賂，為要扭曲公正的路途。
