我涂抹了你的过犯，像密云消散；我涂抹了你的罪恶，如薄云灭没，你当归向我，因为我救赎了你。

你没有用银子为我买菖蒲，也没有用祭物的脂肪使我饱足；相反地，你用你的罪使我劳累，你用你的罪孽使我厌烦。“唯有我为自己的缘故，涂抹你的过犯，我也不再记念你的罪。你可以提醒我，我们可以一起辩论；你尽管细说案情，好使你自显为义。

求你用牛膝草洁净我，我就干净；求你洗净我，我就比雪更白。

我对他说：“我主啊，你是知道的。”他告诉我：“这些人是从大患难中出来的。他们用羊羔的血，把自己的衣袍洗洁白了。

耶和华说：“呈上你们的案件吧！”雅各的王说：“把你们有力的证据拿来吧！”

众海岛啊！你们要在我面前静默，愿万民重新得力。让他们近前来，然后说话，让我们聚在一起辩论吧！

有何神像你，赦免罪孽，不追究产业之余民的过犯呢？他不永远怀怒，因为他喜爱怜悯。他必再怜爱我们，把我们的罪孽都践踏在脚下，又把我们（按照《马索拉文本》，“我们”作“他们”；现参照其他抄本、《七十士译本》和其他古译本翻译）的一切罪恶都投在深海里。

每逢安息日，保罗在会堂辩论，劝导犹太人和希腊人归主。

好使他恩典的荣耀得着颂赞。这恩典是他在爱子里赐给我们的。我们在他爱子里，藉着他的血蒙了救赎，过犯得到赦免，都是按着他丰盛的恩典。这恩典是他用各样的智慧和聪明，充充足足地赐给我们的；

保罗照他的习惯进去，一连三个安息日，根据圣经与他们辩论，

律法的出现，是要叫过犯增多；然而罪在哪里增多，恩典就更加增多了。

现在你们要站住，我要在耶和华面前与你们讲论耶和华向你们和你们的列祖所行一切公义的事。

耶和华这样说：“你们列祖在我身上究竟发现了什么不义，使他们远离我，随从虚无的偶像，自己也成了虚妄呢？

保罗讲到公义、自制和将来的审判的时候，腓力斯就害怕起来，说：“你先走吧，等我有空的时候再叫你来。”

大山啊！你们要听耶和华的争辩。大地永久的根基啊！你们要听，因为耶和华与他的子民争辩，和以色列争论。
