耶和华这样说：你们要施行公正和公义，解救被抢夺的脱离欺压者的手，不可虐待或以强暴对待寄居的、孤儿和寡妇，也不可在这地方流无辜人的血。

世人哪！耶和华已经指示你什么是善，他向你所要的又是什么；无非是要你行公义，好怜悯，谦虚谨慎与你的神同行。

你们要为贫寒的人和孤儿伸冤，为困苦和穷乏的人伸张正义。要搭救贫寒和穷困的人，救他们脱离恶人的手。”

你的官长存心悖逆，与盗贼同伙；人都贪爱贿赂，追索私酬；他们不替孤儿伸冤，寡妇的案件也呈不到他们面前。

你要开口说话，秉公审判，为困苦和穷乏的人伸冤。”

“万军之耶和华曾这样告诉你们的列祖说：‘你们要执法公正，各人要以慈爱和怜悯待自己的兄弟。寡妇、孤儿、寄居的和贫穷人，你们都不可欺压，也不可各自心里图谋恶事，陷害自己的兄弟。’

难道你是用香柏木争胜来表明王的身分吗？你父亲不是也吃也喝，也施行公正和公义吗？那时他得享福乐。他为困苦和贫穷人伸冤，那时他得享福乐。这不是认识我的真义吗？”这是耶和华的宣告。

地上所有谦卑的人，就是遵守耶和华典章的人哪！你们要寻求耶和华，你们要寻求公义，寻求谦卑。在耶和华忿怒的日子，你们或许得以隐藏起来。

你们应当行这些事：你们各人要与邻舍说真话，在你们的城门口要凭着诚实施行带来和平的审判。

因此，王啊！请你接纳我的劝告，施行公义，断绝罪过，怜悯受欺压者，断绝罪孽，你的平安或者可以延长。”
