欺凌加上欺凌，詭詐加上詭詐，總不肯認識我：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

光到了世界上來，人愛黑暗、而不愛光，因為他們的行為邪惡：這就是被定罪的因由。凡作壞事的都恨光，不來就光，恐怕他的行為被訐發；

免致像他們祖宗、做頑梗悖逆的一代，做居心不堅定、心對上帝不忠實的一代。

以利的兩個兒子是無賴子，他們不認識永恆主。

為這緣故、上帝就將謬妄「所運用的動力」送在他們身上，使他們信從虛謊，使一切不信從真理、倒喜悅不義的人、都受定罪。

罪過向惡人心中深處發言；在他眼前沒有上帝可懼怕。因為罪過老是諂媚着他，故此在他看來他的罪孽總不能被查出、被恨惡。他口中的話是奸惡和詭詐；他跟明智和善行已經斷絕。他在床上圖謀着奸惡，在不善的路上站定了立場，並不棄絕壞事。

他們必這樣行，是因為他們沒認識過父，也沒認識過我。

我的人民因無知識而被毁滅；你、你既棄絕了知識，我也必棄絕你、不讓你做我的祭司。你既忘了你的上帝的禮節規矩，我、我也必忘了你的兒女。

難道你熱心於香柏木之建築以爭勝，就可以顯王者的派頭麼？你父親不是也喫也喝，也秉公行義麼？那時他真享福啊！他為困苦和貧窮人伸訴；那時他真有福啊！認識我、不就在於此麼？永恆主發神諭說。

以色列人哪，你們要聽永恆主的話；因為永恆主有案件要責罪這地的居民。因為這地沒有誠信，沒有忠愛，沒有認識上帝的那種知識。

誇耀的卻要誇耀自己有聰明、能認識我、知道我是永恆主、是在地上施堅愛、行公平顯義氣的，因為我喜悅這些事：這是永恆主發神諭說的。』

我必賜給他們一種心能認識我，知道我是永恆主；他們必做我的子民，我呢、必做他們的上帝，因為他們必全心全意地回轉來歸向我。

認識你名的人必倚靠你；因為、永恆主啊、你沒有撇棄尋求你的人。

讓刀劍攻擊她的眾水，使它們都乾涸！因為這是有雕像之地，人們都因怪偶像而瘋瘋癲癲。
