Their actions do not allow them to return to their God, for a spirit of promiscuity is among them, and they do not know the Lord.

They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms[ is] in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

Their wicked deeds do not allow them to return to their God; because a spirit of idolatry controls their heart, and they do not acknowledge the LORD.

我民諮詢於木、藉杖示之、彼為淫心所迷、狥欲離其上帝之制、

我若守其誡、則自知識之也、人自謂識之、而不守其誡則為誑、真理不在彼衷矣、

爾未嘗識之、而我識之、若云不識、則誑如爾矣、惟我識之、而守其道、

耶和華曰、爾居詭詐之中、彼緣詭詐、不肯識我、○

是鞫也、因光臨世、而人愛暗愈於光、以其行惡也、蓋凡為惡者、惡光而不就之、恐其所行見責、

勿效厥祖、斯代頑梗悖逆、其心不正、其神不堅於上帝兮、

以利二子、匪類也、不識耶和華、

故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、俾凡不信真理、而悅不義者服鞫、○

惡人之罪、謂其心曰、目中無懼上帝之由兮、因彼自欺、以為其惡不顯、不見惡兮、厥口所言、奸惡詭譎、絕於智慧善行兮、在牀謀孽、立於邪途、不憎惡事兮、○

如是因其未識父與我也、

我民緣無知而見滅、爾棄知識、我亦棄爾、不容為我祭司、爾忘爾上帝法律、我亦忘爾子、

爾以香柏之工競美、豈得因此為王乎、爾父式飲式食、秉公行義、而獲福祉、彼為貧乏伸冤、遂得亨通、耶和華曰、如是豈非識我乎、

以色列人歟、其聽耶和華言、耶和華與斯土居民爭辯、因其境內無誠實、無仁慈、無識上帝之知識、

凡誇者、當誇其明哲、知我為耶和華、施行慈愛公平仁義於地、蓋我以此為悅、耶和華言之矣、

賦以識我之心、俾知我乃耶和華、一心歸我、彼為我民、我為其上帝、

耶和華歟、識爾名者、惟爾是依、尋求爾者、爾未棄之、

旱及於諸水、使之盡涸、因其為雕像之境也、彼眾若狂以奉偶像、
