以必朽的人、飞禽、走兽和爬虫的形象来取代永恒上帝的荣耀。因此，上帝任凭他们随从内心的情欲行污秽的事，玷污彼此的身体。他们把上帝的真理当作谎言，祭拜、供奉受造之物，却不敬拜、事奉造物主。主是永远值得称颂的。阿们！因此，上帝任凭他们放纵可耻的情欲。女人放弃正常的两性关系，做出变态反常的事。男人也背弃了和女人正常的两性关系，欲火焚烧，同性之间彼此贪恋，男人和男人做出羞耻不堪的事。他们必在自己的身体上遭受应得的报应。既然他们故意不认识上帝，上帝就任凭他们心思败坏，做不当做的事。

你们在橡树下，在青翠树下以淫乱的方式祭拜假神，在山谷中和石缝间杀儿女作祭物。

你用自己的衣服在拜偶像的地方结彩，在那里行淫。这样的事真是空前绝后！

当我引领他们进入我曾起誓要赐给他们的土地时，他们在所见的每一处高山或密林献祭，焚烧馨香的祭牲，向偶像奠酒，惹我发怒。我问他们，你们所去的高处是什么地方？’从此，那高处一直叫巴麻。

可是，我越召唤他们，他们就跑得越远，给巴力献祭，向偶像烧香。

我要惩罚她，因为她在节日向巴力烧香。那时她戴耳环佩首饰，追逐她的情人，把我忘记。这是耶和华说的。

你们在高山上淫乱、献祭，

‘你必须要承认自己的罪，承认背叛了你的上帝耶和华，在绿荫树下祭拜各种外邦的神明，不听从我的话。’这是耶和华说的。

你在街头巷尾建高高的神庙，糟蹋自己的美貌。你向每一个过路的人投怀送抱，纵情淫乱，

“很久以前，我折断你的轭，解开你的捆索，你却拒绝事奉我，在各高岗上、绿树下躺卧淫乱。
