But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

So then, as through one offense the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through one act of righteousness the result was justification of life to all mankind.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

The next day he* saw Jesus coming to him, and* said,“ Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

and He died for all, so that those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose on their behalf.

For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of dry ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we would look at Him, Nor an appearance that we would take pleasure in Him.He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore, And our pains that He carried; Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted, Struck down by God, and humiliated.But He was pierced for our offenses, He was crushed for our wrongdoings; The punishment for our well being was laid upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed.All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wrongdoing of us all To fall on Him.He was oppressed and afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off from the land of the living For the wrongdoing of my people, to whom the blow was due?And His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.

who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain—

For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices; so it is necessary that this high priest also have something to offer.

And I will make enemies Of you and the woman, And of your offspring and her Descendant; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise Him on the heel.”

For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it back.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him Immanuel.

“ Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus, the one whom you handed over and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.

For You meet him with the blessings of good things; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.He asked for life from You, You gave it to him, Length of days forever and ever.His glory is great through Your salvation, Splendor and majesty You place upon him.

For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

The Jews said to Him,“ Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets as well; and yet You say,‘ If anyone follows My word, he will never taste of death.’

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

You have made him for a little while lower than angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor;

His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.

And why are you worried about clothing? Notice how the lilies of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin thread for cloth,

Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.

And Jesus was saying to them,“ Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God when it has come with power.”

But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
