论到这救恩，那预言你们要得恩典的众先知，都寻求考察过，就是把他们心里基督的灵所预先见证，关于基督要受苦难后来得荣耀，是在什么时候和怎样的情况加以考察。他们蒙了启示，为这些事效力，并不是为自己，而是为你们。现在，藉着传福音给你们的人，靠着从天上差来的圣灵，把这些事传给了你们；甚至天使也很想详细察看这些事。

满心相信神所应许的，神必能成就。

以撒说：“现在我已经老了，不知道什么时候会死。你现在拿你打猎的用具，就是你的箭囊和弓，出到田野去为我打猎。照我所喜欢的，给我预备美味的食物，拿来给我吃；好让我在未死以前给你祝福。”

亲爱的，我劝你们作客旅和寄居的人，要禁戒肉体的私欲，这私欲是与灵魂争战的。

你们既称那不偏待人、按各人行为审判的主为父，就当存敬畏的心，过你们寄居的日子；

约瑟对他的兄弟们说：“我快要死了，但神必定眷顾你们，领你们从这地上到他起誓应许给亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各之地去。”

雅各对他的众子嘱咐完了，就把双脚收回床上，气绝而死，归到他的亲族那里去了。

我看见他，却不是现在；我望见他，却不是近处；必有一星从雅各而出，必有一杖从以色列兴起；他必打碎摩押的额角，粉碎一切舍特人的头顶。

以赛亚说这些话，是因为看见了他的荣耀，就指着他说的。

权杖必不离开犹大，王圭必不离他两脚之间，直到细罗﹙“细罗”有古译本作“属他的那位”﹚来到，万族都要臣服他。

这些就是以色列的十二支派；以上是他们父亲对他们所说的话，是按着各人的福分给他们所祝的福。
