所以从一个好像已死的人，竟然生出许多子孙来，仿佛天上的星那么众多，海边的沙那么无数。

故此竟從一個人、又是彷彿死了的、生出子孫來，像天上的星辰那麼眾多，像海濱的沙那麼無數。

所以從一個如同已經死了的人，就生出了許多人，像天空的星那樣眾多，像海邊的沙那樣無法數算。

故自一人猶已死者、生育如天星之繁多、海沙之無數、○

是以一人血氣雖衰、生育蕃衍、如眾星之在天、猶海沙之無量、

故由一人、身若已死者、生育蕃衍、如天星之眾、如海沙之無數、

因此之故、以一衰邁瀕死之人、其所出子孫、如天上之星、海濱之沙、有不可勝數者焉。

And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

Abraham was past the time when he could have children. But many children came from that one man. They were as many as the stars in the sky. They were as many as the grains of sand on the seashore. No one could count them.

Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore.

And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead— a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.

Therefore, from one man— in fact, from one as good as dead— came offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and as innumerable as the grains of sand along the seashore.

Therefore even from one man, and one who was as good as dead at that, there were born descendants who were just as the stars of heaven in number, and as the innumerable grains of sand along the seashore.

Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude— innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

wherefore also there sprang of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of heaven in multitude, and as the sand, which is by the sea- shore, innumerable.

Therefore from one man— in fact, from one as good as dead— came offspring as numerous as the stars of heaven and as innumerable as the grains of sand by the seashore.

Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead,[ so many] as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

So in fact children were fathered by one man– and this one as good as dead– like the number of stars in the sky and like the innumerable grains of sand on the seashore.

Therefore as many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the sea shore, were fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.

我必定赐福给你，必使你的后裔繁多，像天上的星，海边的沙；你的后裔必占领仇敌的城门。

你曾经说过：‘我必厚待你，使你的后裔好像海边的沙一样，多到不可胜数。’”

于是领他到外面去，说：“你向天观看，数点众星，看你能不能把它们数得清楚。”又对他说：“你的后裔将要这样众多。”

“然而，以色列人的数目，必多如海边的沙，量不尽，数不完。从前在什么地方对他们说：‘你们不是我的子民’，将来要在那里对他们说：‘你们是永活的神的儿子。’

我却必使我仆人大卫的后裔和事奉我的利未人增多，像天上的万象不能数算、海边的沙粒不能斗量。’”

以色列啊！你的人民虽然像海沙那样多，却只有余剩的人可以归回，因为灭绝的事已经定了，公义必如洪水泛滥。

我必使你的后裔增多，好像天上的星那样多；我必把这全地都赐给你的后裔；地上的万国都必因你的后裔得福。

如经上所记：“我已经立了你作万国的父。”他所信的，是叫死人得生命、使无变为有的神。在他没有盼望的时候，仍然怀着盼望去信，因此就成了万国的父，正如神所说：“你的后裔将要这样众多。”他快到一百岁的时候，想到自己的身体好像已经死了，撒拉也不能生育，他的信心还是不软弱，

这些王与他们所有的军队都一同出来，人数众多，好像海边的沙，还有很多马匹和车辆。

耶和华你们的神使你们多起来；你们看，你们今日像天上的星那样多。

你使他们的子孙众多，像天上的星星那么多；你把他们带进你应许他们的列祖要进去得为业的那地。

求你记念你的仆人亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各；你曾经指着自己向他们起誓，说：‘我必使你的后裔增多，好像天上的星一样；我必把我应许的这全地赐给你的后裔，他们必永远承受这地作产业。’”

他要出来迷惑地上四方的列国，就是歌革和玛各，使他们聚集争战。他们的人数好像海边的沙那么多。

撒母耳对他们说：“今天耶和华在你们中间作见证，他的膏立者也作见证；你们在我手里没有找到什么。”他们说：“愿他作证。”

那时米甸人、亚玛力人和所有的东方人，都散布在平原上，好像蝗虫那么多；他们的骆驼无数，好像海边的沙那么多。

你的后裔必像海沙那么多，你腹中的子孙要如沙粒这样多；他们的名字必不会被剪除，也不会从我面前消灭。

以色列人二十岁以下的，大卫都没有登记他们的数目，因为耶和华曾经说过要增添以色列人的数目，好像天上的星那样多。

你们以前虽然像天上的星那么多，现在剩下的人数却寥寥可数，因为你不听从耶和华你的神的话。

因此，我建议把以色列众人，从但到别是巴，都聚集到你这里来，好像海边的沙那样多，然后你亲自率领他们上战场。

以赛亚指着以色列人大声说：“以色列子孙的数目虽然多如海沙，得救的不过是剩下的余数；

犹大人和以色列人很多，像海边的沙那样多；他们都吃喝、快乐。

他们定着脸面向前，齐来行暴，掳获战俘多如尘沙。
