那一年完了，第二年他們又來見約瑟說：『我們不向我主隱瞞；我們的銀子都花完了，牲畜家獸也都歸了我主了：我們在我主眼前，除了我們的身體和田地之外，一無所剩。

約瑟對人民說：『看哪，我今天替法老買了你們和你們的田地；看哪，這裏有種子給了你們，你們可以種地。

正如約瑟所說的：七個饑荒的年頭開始來了，各地都有饑荒，惟獨埃及全地有食物。
