If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Do what is right and then you will be accepted. If you don’t do what is right, sin is waiting at your door to grab you. It desires to control you. But you must rule over it.”

欲動生惡、惡盈致死、

宜訓於有眾曰、善者必蒙綏祉、而獲善報、惡者必遘凶災、而有惡報、

視各人所行而報之、凡恆於為善、求尊榮無壞者、報以永生、爭鬥不順真理、而為不義者、報以赫怒、患難窘苦、罰諸作惡之人、先猶太、次希利尼、而尊榮平康、賞諸為善之人、先猶太、次希利尼、

亞伯有信、獻祭與上帝、較該隱尤善、故上帝嘉其義、許其禮、是以亞伯雖沒、其言不朽、

兄弟乎我念上帝憐憫、勸爾獻身為活祭、成聖、此上帝所喜、當然之役也、

豈不知凡獻己為僕以服之、則為所服之僕、或逆以取死、或順以稱義、

惡以誡而乘機、眾欲動於中、未有法、則惡不生、故昔未有法而我生、誡至、惡生而我死、

惡人之祭且不納、況以詭譎之心獻禮物乎。

不然、則干犯耶和華、罪必有歸、爾當知之。

萬國有畏上帝而行義者、必為其所喜、

萬有之主耶和華曰、爾曰、供饌徒勞、何益之有、遂以跛疾斷傷之牲、獻之為祭、我耶和華豈悅納爾哉、

萬有之主耶和華曰、爾中有誰、閉我殿門、燃火於我壇、而肯徒為之乎、故我不以爾為悅、不納爾禮物、

萬有之主耶和華曰、爾欲奉祭、以瞽跛廢疾之牲獻之、豈得為善乎、試獻於牧伯、彼豈納之、以爾為悅、

亦如靈石、叠成靈室、爾為聖祭司、賴耶穌基督、獻上帝喜納之靈祀、

謂婦曰、我必使爾懷妊劬勞、產育維艱、爾必繫戀於夫、夫為爾綱。

作惡之人、屢蹈罪愆、反享遐齡、然吾知寅畏上帝者、終必受厥綏祉、惡人不畏上帝、斷難邀福、厥日無幾、如影靡定。

香品攜自示巴、菖蒲得自遠方、獻我曷故。爾之燔祭禮物、我不悅納。

彰厥洪恩、以愛子令我儕受寵錫、

行此而服基督者、為上帝所喜、世人所悅、

聽訟毋袒惡、毋枉直。

嫠有子孫教之先行孝於家、以報厥親、此為美、可見納於上帝、

曰許汝所求、爾所言之邑、我不翦滅。

令我為耶穌基督執事、訓異邦人、如祭司傳上帝福音、俾異邦人得托聖神為聖、余獻之而見納於上帝、

與亞哈子約藍、往基列之喇末、戰亞蘭王哈泄。亞蘭人傷約藍。約藍既傷、則歸耶斯烈、以療其疾、猶大王約蘭子亞哈謝往耶斯烈、見亞哈子約藍而問其疾。

嗣後該隱與弟晤談、及至田間、攻而殺之。○耶和華問該隱曰、爾弟何在、曰、不知、我豈防閑弟者乎。曰、爾果何為、爾弟之血有聲、自地籲我。汝既殺弟、地口遂張、以受其血、故爾見詛、必離斯土、厥後爾雖耕田、地不效力、爾將流離無定、該隱謂耶和華曰、我罹重刑、實所不堪。

亞勞拿以此物悉予王、慨然無吝色、曰、願爾之上帝耶和華悅爾。
