主謂該隱曰、凡殺該隱者、必受罰七倍、主乃賜該隱以號、免遇之者殺之、

But the Lord said to him,“ Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.

But the Lord said to him,“ No. Anyone who kills you will be paid back seven times.” The Lord put a mark on Cain. Then anyone who found him wouldn’t kill him.

Then the Lord said to him,“ Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him.

The Lord replied,“ No, for I will give a sevenfold punishment to anyone who kills you.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain to warn anyone who might try to kill him.

Then the LORD replied to him,“ In that case, whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” And he placed a mark on Cain so that whoever found him would not kill him.

So the Lord said to him,“ Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him seven times as much.” And the Lord placed a mark on Cain, so that no one finding him would kill him.

And the Lord said to him,“ Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.

And Jehovah said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And Jehovah appointed a sign for Cain, lest any finding him should smite him.

Then the Lord replied to him,“ In that case, whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” And He placed a mark on Cain so that whoever found him would not kill him.

And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

But the LORD said to him,“ All right then, if anyone kills Cain, Cain will be avenged seven times as much.” Then the LORD put a special mark on Cain so that no one who found him would strike him down.

Yahweh said to him,“ Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” Yahweh appointed a sign for Cain, so that anyone finding him would not strike him.

主諭之曰、爾巡行耶路撒冷邑中、凡因邑中所行可憎之事、嗟嘆欷歔者、則畫號於其額上、

若殺該隱必受罰七倍、若殺拉麥必受罰七十七倍、○

主歟、我鄰國謗讟主、願主以七倍之報、加諸其身、

彼受苦於火中、其煙上騰、永遠不熄、拜獸與其像、或受其名之印誌者、晝夜不得安息、

老幼處子、孩提婦女、俱當殺盡、惟有號於額者勿殺、殺必始於我之聖所、彼乃自殿前之長老始、

又有第三天使隨其後、大聲曰、若有拜獸及獸像、於額或於手受其印誌者、

莫殺戮之、恐我民遂忘、惟求護衛我之主、以大能使之流離失所、使之降為卑微、

我必震怒、依爾逆行待爾、因爾罪愆、譴責爾至於七倍、

主藉哈拿尼子先知耶戶、切責巴沙與其家、因其行惡於主前、從耶羅波安家之所為、干犯主怒、又因其殺戮耶羅波安之家、○

主諭之曰、可稱其名曰耶斯烈、昔耶戶殺人流血於耶斯烈、我不久將罰其家、必滅以色列族之國、

至此爾猶不聽我、我必因爾罪愆、譴責爾至於七倍、

耶穌謂之曰、收爾刃入鞘、蓋凡舉刃者必亡於刃、

我必依爾之逆行而待爾、必因爾罪愆、譴責爾至於七倍、

爾若逆我以行、不欲聽我、我必按爾之罪、譴責爾至於七倍、

若被執則償七倍、或盡出家中所有以償之、
