So when the Ishmaelites, who were Midianite traders, came by, Joseph’s brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for twenty pieces of silver. And the traders took him to Egypt.

有名約瑟、始為上帝所遣、先我祖而至埃及、見鬻為僕兮、

米田賈攜約瑟至埃及、鬻與法老臣侍衛長波提乏。

米田祭司有七女、皆來汲水、欲盈其槽、飲父群羊、

更殺米田五王、以未、哩金、蘇耳、戶耳、哩巴、及庇耳、子巴蘭、均殲以刃。以色列人奪其妻孥、攘其牛羊、掠其貨財、

爾欲予我幾何、我以彼賣爾、遂約金三十、

汝為以色列族報仇、罰米田人、而後返本。摩西告民曰、汝必備戰、攻擊米田人、使耶和華怨米田人之憤可洩。

我曰、如合爾意、給我以值、否則已矣、於是權三十金畀我、以為我值。耶和華告我曰、爾傭於人、其價何廉、委之於陶人可也、我遂取三十金、擲於耶和華殿、以為陶人所得。

於是應先知耶利米言曰、我取被估者之價、三十金、即以色列人所估者、

敵人乃以實馬利後裔、故有金環。其田謂民曰、我求爾眾、以所得之鼻環給我。

群駝自米田以法遍於爾境、人攜金乳香、自示巴詣爾、頌美我耶和華焉。

被誅之女、屬米田族中最著者、牧伯蘇耳之女、哥斯庇。○

以色列族謂其田曰、爾既救我、脫於米田人手、則爾與子孫、治理我儕。

請爾令其敗北、若米田人、爰及西西喇耶賓、在基順之溪濱、

自今而後、必攻擊米田人、俾嘗艱苦、
