上帝說：『不，是你妻子撒拉必給你生個兒子；你要給他起名叫以撒；我要同他堅立我的約，做他以後的苗裔永遠的約。

神说：“不然，你妻子撒拉要给你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚定所立的约，作他后裔永远的约。

上帝说：“不！你妻子撒拉必为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚立我的约，成为他后裔永远的约。

神说：“不！你妻子撒拉必为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒。我要与他坚立我的约，成为他后裔永远的约。

上帝说：“不，你妻子撒拉必为你生一个儿子，你要给他取名叫以撒，我必向他和他的后代坚守我的约，直到永远。

神说：“你的妻子撒拉，真的要为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名叫以撒，我要与他坚立我的约，作他后裔的永约。

神说：“不，你的妻子撒拉将为你生一个儿子，你要给他起名为以撒。我要与他确立我的约，作为他后裔永远的约。

神說：「不然，你妻子撒拉要給你生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫以撒。我要與他堅定所立的約，作他後裔永遠的約。

上帝說：「不！你妻子撒拉必為你生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫以撒。我要與他堅立我的約，成為他後裔永遠的約。

神說：「不！你妻子撒拉必為你生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫以撒。我要與他堅立我的約，成為他後裔永遠的約。

上帝說：「不，你妻子撒拉必為你生一個兒子，你要給他取名叫以撒，我必向他和他的後代堅守我的約，直到永遠。

神說：“你的妻子撒拉，真的要為你生一個兒子，你要給他起名叫以撒，我要與他堅立我的約，作他後裔的永約。

神說：「不，你的妻子撒拉將為你生一個兒子，你要給他起名為以撒。我要與他確立我的約，作為他後裔永遠的約。

上帝曰、否、爾妻撒拉必生子、可名以撒、我將與彼立約、為其後裔之永約、

上帝曰、爾妻撒拉、果必生子、命名以撒、我將與以撒、及其後裔、立永約。

天主曰、爾妻撒拉果必生子、可命名以撒、我將與彼及其後裔立我約、以為永約、

Then God said,“ Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.

Then God said,“ Yes, I will bless Ishmael. But your wife Sarah will have a son by you. And you will name him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him. That covenant will last forever. It will be for Isaac and his family after him.

God said,“ No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

But God replied,“ No— Sarah, your wife, will give birth to a son for you. You will name him Isaac, and I will confirm my covenant with him and his descendants as an everlasting covenant.

But God said,“ No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm my covenant with him as a permanent covenant for his future offspring.

But God said,“ No, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you shall name him Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.

Then God said:“ No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.

And God said, Nay, but Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

But God said,“ No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his future offspring.

And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant,[ and] with his seed after him.

God said,“ No, Sarah your wife is going to bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm my covenant with him as a perpetual covenant for his descendants after him.

God said,“ No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

但這並不是說、上帝的話似乎廢墮了。原來從以色列而出的、並不都是「以色列人」。也不是因他們做亞伯拉罕的後裔、就都是真「兒女」，乃是『本於以撒的、才要叫做你的後裔』。這就是說，不是這些肉身的兒女、就可以做上帝的兒女，乃是應許的兒女才算為後裔。因為上帝所說的：『明年大約這時候我要來，撒拉必生個兒子』這句話、就是一句應許的話。

天使對他說，『撒迦利亞，別怕了；因為你的祈求已蒙垂聽、你的妻子以利沙伯必給你生個兒子，你要給他起名叫約翰。『你必歡喜快樂；許多人必因他的出生而喜樂。因為他在主面前必成為大；淡酒濃酒他都不喝；自從出了母胎、他就被聖靈充滿；他必使許多以色列人回轉歸向主他們的上帝；他必行在主面前為先導，具有以利亞的精神和能力，使為父者的心回轉而向兒女，使悖逆的人回轉、到義人的明達中，為主豫備準備好了的子民。』撒迦利亞對天使說：『我憑甚麼可以知道這事呢？我已經老了，我的妻子年紀也老邁了。』天使回答他說：『我是站在上帝面前的加伯列；我奉差對你說話，將這些事的好消息報給你。看吧，你必無聲無音、不能說話、直到這些事發生的日子；因為你不信我的話、就是到了適當時候會應驗的。』

當亞伯拉罕年老的時候、撒拉懷了孕；到上帝所對他說到的時節就給亞伯拉罕生了一個兒子。亞伯拉罕給撒拉為他所生的兒子起名叫以撒。

你們呢、弟兄們，你們照以撒的樣子、就是應許的兒女啊。但當時那只按普通程序生的怎樣逼迫那按靈生的，如今也這樣。然而經上是怎麼說的呢？經上是說：『把使女和她兒子趕出去吧；因為使女的兒子是斷不可以跟自主婦人的兒子一同承繼產業的。』所以弟兄們，我們不是使女的兒女，我們乃是自主婦人的兒女了。

撒拉說：『上帝使我喜笑；凡聽見的也必為了我而喜笑。』

以利沙說：『到了日期，約在婦人懷孕滿期的時候、你就要抱兒子了。』婦人說：『我主神人哪，不會的；你別和婢女開玩笑啦。』那婦人果然懷孕，到了日期，約在婦人懷孕滿期的時候、正是以利沙所對她說過的，她就生了一個兒子。

那位說：『在婦人懷孕滿期的時候，我一定要回到你這裏來。看吧，你妻子撒拉必生個兒子。』撒拉在後邊帳棚聽着呢。當時亞伯拉罕和撒拉已經老邁，上了年紀；撒拉的女人事兒也停止了。撒拉肚子裏暗笑着說：『我已經衰敗，我的丈夫也老邁，哪裏還能有婚媾的樂趣呢？』永恆主對亞伯拉罕說：『撒拉為甚麼暗笑着說：「我既已老邁，果真能生養嗎？」在永恆主、還有奇難事麼？到了所定的日期，在婦人懷孕滿期的時候，我必回到你這裏來，撒拉必生個兒子。』

你寄居在這地，我必與你同在，賜福與你，因為我要將這些地賜給你和你的後裔；我必實行我向你父亞伯拉罕所起的誓。

論到我的約，我是要同以撒堅立的；以撒就是明年這時節撒拉所要給你生下來的。』
