And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“耶和华使我不能生育。求你和我的使女同房，或者我可以因她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“看哪，耶和华使我不能生育。你来和我的婢女同房，也许我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“看哪，耶和华使我不能生育。你来和我的婢女同房，也许我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“耶和华不让我生育，请你与我的婢女同房，也许我可以借着她生子立后。”亚伯兰同意了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“请看，耶和华使我不能生育，求你去亲近我的婢女，或者我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰就听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“看哪，耶和华使我不能生育，请你与我的婢女同房，或许我可以藉着她立后。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「耶和華使我不能生育。求你和我的使女同房，或者我可以因她得孩子。」亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：“請看，耶和華使我不能生育，求你去親近我的婢女，或者我可以從她得孩子。”亞伯蘭就聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：『你看，永恆主抑制我、使我不能生育；求你進去找我婢女，或者我的後裔得以樹立起來。』亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「看哪，耶和華使我不能生育，請你與我的婢女同房，或許我可以藉著她立後。」亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊謂亞伯蘭曰、耶和華禁我生育、請爾與我婢同室、我或可因之得子、亞伯蘭從其言、

so she said to Abram,“ The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

So she said to Abram,“ The Lord has kept me from having children. Go and sleep with my slave. Maybe I can have a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai had said.

And Sarai said to Abram,“ Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal.

Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the LORD has prevented me from bearing children, go to my slave; perhaps through her I can build a family.” And Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Please have relations with my slave woman; perhaps I will obtain children through her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, Jehovah hath restrained me from bearing; go in, I pray thee, unto my handmaid; it may be that I shall obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the Lord has prevented me from bearing children, go to my slave; perhaps through her I can build a family.” And Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the LORD has prevented me from having children, have sexual relations with my servant. Perhaps I can have a family by her.” Abram did what Sarai told him.

Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, Yahweh has restrained me from bearing. Please go in to my servant. It may be that I will obtain children by her.” Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she[ was] barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Lo, children[ are] an heritage of the LORD:[ and] the fruit of the womb[ is his] reward.

And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard[ it] in the tent door, which[ was] behind him.

For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.

When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and gave her Jacob to wife.And Zilpah Leah’s maid bare Jacob a son.

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest[ to be] with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

And all the people that[ were] in the gate, and the elders, said,[ We are] witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:But of the fruit of the tree which[ is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.And when the woman saw that the tree[ was] good for food, and that it[ was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make[ one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself.

And Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said,[ Am] I in God’s stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.And she gave him Bilhah her handmaid to wife: and Jacob went in unto her.

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed[ is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat[ of] it all the days of thy life;

And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be[ a mother] of nations; kings of people shall be of her.

And Rachel said, God hath judged me, and hath also heard my voice, and hath given me a son: therefore called she his name Dan.
