蓋吾人惟恃聖神而起信心、始有成義之望耳。

For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope.

But we long to be made completely holy because of our faith in Christ. Through the Holy Spirit we wait for this in hope.

For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.

But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us.

For we eagerly await through the Spirit, by faith, the hope of righteousness.

For we, through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.

而與之合為一體。蓋予自身了無仁義、律法亦不足為恃、惟天主為仁義之泉源、而所以致之者、則惟信仰基督而已矣。

群聚共商欲相傾。若輩所好惟詭譎。巧言令色亦何苦。口中祝福心中詛。

不惟萬物為然、即在新受聖神妙果之吾人、亦莫不呻吟嘆息於心靈深處、而以如飢若渴之情緒、期待兒女身分之完成、即肉身之被贖是已。蓋吾人之得救也、實有恃乎望德；然已見之望、非望也；夫人於目前之事、亦何所用其望乎？正惟不見、故渴望之、且堅忍熱烈而期待之也。

以待其聖子耶穌之臨格。聖子者、即天主所起於死者之中、而令吾人免於將臨之譴怒者也。

我心遑遑。惟主是望。望主一言。慰我愁腸。

固知盼爾者。不致有所愧。惟彼奸詐徒。終須遭崩潰。

今而後已有正義之榮冠、備以待我；一俟彼日之臨、公明之主、將以斯冠加諸我首；豈惟於我為然、凡渴望其來臨者、亦莫不然也。

且主循循善誘、必能引導爾等之心、臻於天主之愛德、及基督之涵忍也。

總之、吾人以基督為介、彼此融洽於同一聖神之中、而得親近聖父矣。

求主賜教誨。俾我明眞理。爾乃我恩神。朝暮所佇俟。

罪之彰在死亡之界而恩之盛則在永生之域。其所以然者、惟恃吾主耶穌而成義耳。

翼翼事主、翹足企首、仰望真福、與夫大主宰及吾救主耶穌基督之光臨。

彼既來、必有以令世知罪、知義、知判。知罪者、以若輩不予信也；知義者、以予歸父而爾不復睹予也；知判者、以斯世之君已受判也。尚有多端、欲與爾言、惟此時爾尚不堪受之。一俟真諦之神來臨、必能循循誘爾洞達微妙。彼所言亦非由己；有所聞、乃言之；當示爾以將臨之事、且必歸榮於予也。何則、彼將受之於予、而授之於爾也。蓋父之所有、亦即予之所有、故曰：『彼將受於予而授於爾。』
