It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Christ has set us free to enjoy our freedom. So remain strong in the faith. Don’t let the chains of slavery hold you again.

For the law of the life- giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Now this matter arose because of the false brothers with false pretenses who slipped in unnoticed to spy on our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, to make us slaves.

But now that you have come to know God( or rather to be known by God), how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless basic forces? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?

Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman but of the free woman.

And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess, for the one who made the promise is trustworthy.

Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, show courage, be strong.

Although these false teachers promise such people freedom, they themselves are enslaved to immorality. For whatever a person succumbs to, to that he is enslaved.

Therefore, remember what you received and heard, and obey it, and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will never know at what hour I will come against you.

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith, by praying in the Holy Spirit,maintain yourselves in the love of God, while anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life.

But now we have been released from the law, because we have died to what controlled us, so that we may serve in the new life of the Spirit and not under the old written code.

So now why are you putting God to the test by placing on the neck of the disciples a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?

For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave is the Lord’s freedman. In the same way, the one who was called as a free person is Christ’s slave.

The spirit of the sovereign LORD is upon me, because the LORD has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry.”

Let me again experience the joy of your deliverance! Sustain me by giving me the desire to obey!

The Holy Spirit is making clear that the way into the Holy Place had not yet appeared as long as the old tabernacle was standing.This was a symbol for the time then present, when gifts and sacrifices were offered that could not perfect the conscience of the worshiper.They served only for matters of food and drink and various washings; they are external regulations imposed until the new order came.But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things to come. He passed through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,

So do not throw away your confidence, because it has great reward.For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised.For just a little longer and he who is coming will arrive and not delay.But my righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, I take no pleasure in him.But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls.

So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Acquire truth and do not sell it– wisdom, and discipline, and understanding.

Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness,

However, hold on to what you have until I come.

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ so that– whether I come and see you or whether I remain absent– I should hear that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, by contending side by side for the faith of the gospel,

For now we are alive again, if you stand firm in the Lord.

They tie up heavy loads, hard to carry, and put them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing even to lift a finger to move them.

Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.

For we have become partners with Christ, if in fact we hold our initial confidence firm until the end.

Dear friends, although I have been eager to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel compelled instead to write to encourage you to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.

But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. We are of his house, if in fact we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope we take pride in.

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

Therefore do not let anyone judge you with respect to food or drink, or in the matter of a feast, new moon, or Sabbath days–these are only the shadow of the things to come, but the reality is Christ!Let no one who delights in humility and the worship of angels pass judgment on you. That person goes on at great lengths about what he has supposedly seen, but he is puffed up with empty notions by his fleshly mind.He has not held fast to the head from whom the whole body, supported and knit together through its ligaments and sinews, grows with a growth that is from God.If you have died with Christ to the elemental spirits of the world, why do you submit to them as though you lived in the world?“ Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”These are all destined to perish with use, founded as they are on human commands and teachings.

But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold on to the traditions that we taught you, whether by speech or by letter.

So then, if she is joined to another man while her husband is alive, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she is joined to another man, she is not an adulteress.
