Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman but of the free woman.

But to all who have received him– those who believe in his name– he has given the right to become God’s children– children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband’s decision, but by God.

( See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that we should be called God’s children– and indeed we are! For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know him.Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death( that is, the devil),and set free those who were held in slavery all their lives by their fear of death.
