我見其行不正、不遵福音真理、於眾前語彼得云、爾猶太人也、若從異邦、不從猶太人、則又何使異邦人從猶太人乎、

When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all,“ You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?

I saw what they were doing. It was not in line with the truth of the good news. So I spoke to Peter in front of them all.“ You are a Jew,” I said.“ But you live like one who is not. So why do you force Gentiles to follow Jewish ways?”

But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all,“ If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”

When I saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others,“ Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions?

But when I saw that they were deviating from the truth of the gospel, I told Cephas in front of everyone,“ If you, who are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel Gentiles to live like Jews?”

But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in the presence of all,“ If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Cephas before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as do the Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, how compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

But when I saw that they were deviating from the truth of the gospel, I told Cephas in front of everyone,“ If you, who are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel Gentiles to live like Jews?”

But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before[ them] all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

But when I saw that they were not behaving consistently with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all,“ If you, although you are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you try to force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”

But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all,“ If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?

我未嘗一時服而讓之、為使福音之真、恆存爾中、

爾固知猶太人、與異邦人相親相近、非宜也、然上帝示我、勿言人為俗、或不潔、

今何為試上帝、以列祖及我儕不克負之軛、置門徒頸乎、我儕信己得救、乃由主耶穌恩、亦如彼然、○

有獲罪者、當於眾前責之、以警其餘、

為正直者蓄真智、為行端者之盾干、

凡欲以形軀矜飾者、強爾受割、特恐為基督之十架受窘逐耳、

蓋耶和華上帝為日為盾、耶和華錫恩錫榮、於正行者、不靳嘉物兮、

蓋聖神與我儕、決意不以他任加爾、惟此要者數端、即戒祭像之物及血、並勒死之牲與淫、爾若戒此、則善矣、願爾安康、○

蓋聞數人出自我中、以言擾爾、傾陷爾心、然非我儕所命、

必也步履正直、行為公義、心誠言實、

然磯法至安提阿、我面諍之、以其干咎也、蓋有自雅各來者未至時、彼與異邦人同食、及至、則退而自別、畏受割者也、其餘之猶太人、亦相率為偽、甚至巴拿巴亦受其誘而效尤焉、

惟任義人擊我、我以為慈、任其責我、如膏膏首、勿容我首卻之、而我仍以祈禱、禦惡人之邪僻兮、

曰、爾入未受割者之室、與之共食耶、彼得乃依次述其事、曰、我在約帕祈禱、神遊象外、異象中見一器如大布繫四角、自天縋至我前、我注目視之、內有地上四足之畜、及野獸、昆蟲、飛鳥、且聞聲曰、彼得起、殺而食之、我曰、主、不然、俗物及不潔者、未嘗入我口也、復有聲自天曰、上帝所潔者、勿以為俗也、如是者三、則皆復曳於天、適有三人、遣自該撒利亞詣我、立我寓所之前、聖神命我同往、勿區別、此兄弟六人偕行、入其人之室、彼告我儕、曾見天使立於其室、曰、當遣人往約帕、請西門稱彼得者、彼將以言告爾、俾爾與全家、藉之得救、我甫言時、聖神臨之、如初臨於我儕然、我遂憶主言曰、約翰固以水施洗、惟爾曹將受洗於聖神焉、夫上帝既以恩賜予之、一如我儕在信主耶穌基督之時、我何人斯、能阻上帝耶、眾聞之默然、歸榮上帝、曰、上帝亦賜異邦人改悔、而得生矣、○

履正直者、其行穩固、從邪曲者、必致敗露、

為爾足直其徑、免跛者偏離、寧使之愈焉、○

勿憾同儔、必責人非、免負其罪、

且雅各磯法約翰、人視為柱石者、因知賜我之恩、則施相交之右手於我及巴拿巴、俾往異邦、而彼往受割者、

反乎此、既見主託我宣福音於未受割者、亦猶託彼得於已受割者、

世人歟、爾緘口豈公義、鞫人豈正直乎、

我宗主耶穌確知深信、凡物原無不潔、惟以之為不潔者、則於彼為不潔矣、

禁嫁娶、戒食物、即上帝所造、使信而洞悉真理之人、感謝而受者也、蓋上帝所造皆美、若感謝而受、則無可棄、以其由上帝道及祈禱而潔矣、○

故我擬自異邦歸上帝者、勿擾之、惟書諭之、戒偶像之污與淫、並勒死之牲及血、蓋伊古以來、摩西之書、於各邑有宣之者、每安息日、讀於會堂也、○

夫禮也祭也、以及飲食盥濯、僅為形軀之儀、其設立也、乃待振興之時耳、○

明責愈於隱愛、友朋加傷、乃由忠信、仇敵接吻、則顯頻煩、

偕我之提多、希利尼人也、未嘗強之受割、
