So the Israelites who had returned from the exile ate it, together with all who had separated themselves from the unclean practices of their Gentile neighbors in order to seek the Lord, the God of Israel.

就是你曾藉著你的僕人眾先知所吩咐的。你說：你們進去要得為業之地是污穢的，充滿了當地民族的污穢，他們可憎的事使這地從這邊到那邊都充滿了他們的不潔。

以色列的後裔跟所有外族人分離，然後站立，承認自己的罪過和他們列祖的罪孽。

我必用潔淨的水灑在你們身上，你們就潔淨了；我必潔淨你們的一切污穢，使你們遠離所有可憎的像。

其餘的民眾：祭司、利未人、守門的、歌唱的、作殿役的，以及一切跟各地民族分離，歸向神律法的和他們的妻子和兒女，所有有知識能夠明白的，

耶和華啊！你的法度極為確定；你的殿永遠被稱為聖是合宜的。

有幾個人因為觸著死人而不潔淨，以致他們不能在那一天守逾越節；當日他們來到摩西和亞倫面前。這些人對摩西說：“我們雖然因為接觸死人而不潔淨，為甚麼我們被拒絕，不能在以色列人中，在指定的時間獻耶和華的供物呢？”

所以，“主說：你們要從他們中間出來，和他們分開，不可觸摸不潔淨的東西，我就收納你們。”

以色列全體會眾都要守這逾越節。如果有外族人寄居在你們中間，也願向耶和華守逾越節，他所有的男子都要受割禮，然後他才可以前來守逾越節；他就必像本地人一樣，但所有未受割禮的人都不可以吃這羊羔。本地人和寄居在你們中間的外族人，都同屬一例。”

“完成這些事以後，眾領袖前來見我，說：‘以色列民、祭司和利未人沒有從當地的民族中分別出來，他們隨從迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、亞捫人、摩押人、埃及人和亞摩利人行可憎的事。

所以，親愛的，我們有了這些應許，就應該潔淨自己，除去身體和心靈上的一切污穢，存著敬畏神的心，達到成聖的地步。

你們要離開，要離開，要從那裡出來，不要觸摸不潔淨的東西。扛抬耶和華器皿的啊！你們要從巴比倫城中出來，要自潔。

“你要告訴以色列人說：你們或你們的後代中，如果有人因為接觸死人而成為不潔淨，或因到遠方旅行，他還要向耶和華守逾越節；他們要在二月十四日，黃昏的時候，守逾越節，同時要吃無酵餅和苦菜；一點也不留到早晨，羊羔的骨頭，一根也不可折斷；他們要照著逾越節的一切律例守節。但那潔淨的，又不在路上旅行的人，如果忽略守逾越節，那人就要從自己的民中被剪除，因為他沒有在指定的時間內獻上耶和華的供物，那人必擔當自己的罪。如果有外人寄居在你們中間，想要向耶和華守逾越節，他就必須照著逾越節的條例和典章而行；不論是外人或是本地人，只有一樣的條例。”
