利未人宰了逾越節的羊羔，祭司從他們的手裡把血接過來，灑在壇上，利未人剝了祭牲的皮，

只是祭司太少，不能把所有燔祭牲剝皮，所以他們的親族利未人協助他們，直到剝皮的工作完了，又等到其他祭司自潔完了，因為利未人在自潔的事上比眾祭司更加誠心。

於是，摩西把以色列的眾長老召了來，對他們說：“你們要按著家族自己選取羊羔，把這逾越節的羊羔宰殺了。

二月十四日，他們宰了逾越節的羊羔。祭司和利未人都覺得慚愧，就自潔，把燔祭帶到耶和華的殿裡。他們遵照神人摩西的律法，按著定例，站在自己的崗位上。祭司從利未人手裡把血接過來，灑在祭壇上。因為會眾中有很多人還沒有自潔，所以利未人必須為所有不潔的人宰殺逾越節的羊羔，使他們在耶和華面前成為聖潔。

他不必像那些大祭司，天天先為自己的罪獻祭，然後為人民的罪獻祭；因為他獻上了自己，就把這事一次而永遠的成全了。
