『要為亞倫的兒子們作內袍，給他們作長腰帶，又給他們作裹頭巾，讓他們有光輝有華美。你要把這些給你哥哥亞倫和他兒子們跟他一樣穿戴；要膏立他們，授與聖職給他們，將他們分別為聖，讓他們作祭司來事奉我。你要給他們作細麻布褲子、來遮掩他們的下體；褲子要從腰間直到大腿。亞倫和他兒子們進會棚、或挨近祭壇，在聖所供職的時候、要穿上，免得他們擔受罪罰而死。這要給亞倫和他以後的苗裔做永遠的條例。

一切都要端端正正按次序行。

凡男人禱告、或傳講神言、若覆着頭，就是侮辱他自己的頭。但凡女人當眾禱告、或傳講神言，若不蒙着頭，也就是侮辱她自己的頭；因為那是跟剃了頭髮一般無二的。女人若不蒙着頭，她就該剪髮；但剪髮或剃髮、在女人既是可恥，那麼她就該蒙着頭。男人既是上帝的像和榮耀，他就不該蒙着頭；女人呢、只是反射男人的榮耀，所以該蒙着頭。（因為不是男人由女人而出，乃是女人由男人而出；並且不是男人為着女人而被創造，乃是女人為着男人而被創造。）故此為了天使的緣故、女人應該有服權的象徵在頭上。
