But if you do warn the righteous person not to sin and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning, and you will have saved yourself.”

But suppose you do warn a godly person not to sin. And they do not sin. Then you can be sure that they will live because they listened to your warning. And you will have saved yourself.”

But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.”

But if you warn righteous people not to sin and they listen to you and do not sin, they will live, and you will have saved yourself, too.”

However, if you have warned the righteous person that the righteous is not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall certainly live because he took warning; and you have saved yourself.”

故當警醒、憶我三年之久、晝夜不息、涕泣以勸爾各人、

後磯法至安提約、有可責之處、我面詰之、蓋雅各所遣之人未至、磯法與異邦人同食、及至、磯法畏受割禮者、則退而避之、其餘猶太人、皆同為偽、即巴拿巴亦被誘而為偽、

爾當以此訓勸、且以諸權督責乎眾、勿使人輕視爾、

我儕傳基督、以諸智慧勸戒各人、教誨各人、欲使各人因信基督耶穌、得以成全而立於其前、

勿越理欺兄弟、凡如此之事、天主必施報、此我儕已明告爾而警戒爾、蓋天主召我、非為污穢、乃為聖潔、故凡拒者、非拒人、乃拒天主、即以其聖神賜我儕者、○

凡恆居主內者、不犯罪、凡犯罪者、未曾見主、亦未曾識主、小子乎、勿為人所惑、行義者即為義、如主之為義然、作罪者乃由魔、蓋魔自始犯罪、天主之子顯現、為欲毀魔之作為、凡由天主而生者、不作罪、蓋天主之種存於其內、彼由天主而生、故不能犯罪、

故當滅爾在地之肢體所作之罪、即姦淫、污穢、邪侈、惡慾、貪婪、貪婪與拜偶像同罪、因此諸事天主之震怒、臨於不信之人、昔爾生於罪惡中、亦曾行之、今當去此一切、以及忿怒、怨恨、暴戾、謗讟並口中淫穢之詞、

然則自以為立者、慎勿傾也、

故我念主而勸爾、勿復逞虛妄之心而行、如他異邦人、其心蒙昩、愚頑無知、而棄天主生命之道、既失良心、則自棄、逞其邪侈、貪欲無度、行諸污穢、爾曹學基督乃不若是、蓋爾已聞之、且因受教而信之、循耶穌之真、

我書此、非欲愧爾、乃欲勸爾、如我之愛子、

兄弟乎、我勸爾妄為者警之、怯思者勉之、懦弱者助之、向眾人當寛忍、

以一言警智者、勝於加百杖於愚者、

主之僕人因此受警戒、守此便得大賞、

因將有偽基督偽先知起、施大異跡、大奇事、若能惑選民則亦惑之、此事我預告爾、

授道於智人、其智必加、指示義人、其學必進、

昔以基督恩召爾者、爾離之如是之速、而別從一福音、是我所奇異、此不足為福音也、但有人擾爾、欲傾覆基督之福音、或我儕、或天使、傳福音於爾、異於我所傳爾者、則當被阿拿提瑪、當被阿拿提瑪譯即當被詛之義我已言之、今復言之、若有人傳福音於爾、異於爾所受者、則當被阿拿提瑪、我今求為人所許乎、或求為天主所許乎、抑求悅於人乎、我若求悅人、則不為天主之僕矣、○

爾當慎己、亦慎所教、當恆心在此、如是而行、則可自救、亦救聽爾者、

凡我所愛者、我必責之懲之、故當奮勉悔改、

我保羅告爾、若受割禮、基督於爾無益、我復言之、凡受割禮者、當守全律法、爾欲恃律法稱義者、棄基督絕於恩矣、我儕賴聖神、而由信有望、俟得稱義、信基督耶穌、受割禮不受割禮皆無益、惟使人行仁愛之信德有益、爾行甚善、誰阻爾使爾不順真理乎、

如爾警戒惡人、彼仍不悛改、不去惡事、不離惡途、則彼必死於罪、惟爾則自保生命、自保生命或作救己下同如善人離善行惡、我聽其陷罪、以致死亡、爾不戒之、必死於罪中、彼所為之善、不得記憶、而其喪命之罪、必責問於爾、

當知使罪人由迷途反正、乃救其靈魂不死、且掩多罪焉、

因爾知凡姦淫者、污穢者、貪婪者、於基督及天主之國無分、貪婪者與拜偶像者無異也、勿為人之虛言所誘、蓋緣如此之事、天主怒、臨於不信從之人、
