可是他们的儿女背叛了我，没有遵行我的律例，也没有谨守实行我的典章（人如果遵行这些律例典章，就必因此活着），亵渎了我的安息日；那时我说我要把我的烈怒倒在他们身上，在旷野向他们发尽我的怒气。

但他們的兒女卻叛逆了我，不遵行我的律例，不謹守實行我的典章（就是人若實行，必因此而活着的），反而瀆犯了我的安息日。『我就心裏說我要將我的烈怒傾倒在他們身上，我要在曠野向他們發盡我的忿怒。

惟其子女背我、不循我典章、不從我律例、人若遵行、則緣之得生、且犯我安息日、我則曰、必在曠野傾我怒、盡洩我忿於其身、

子孫背我、不遵我禮儀、犯我安息日、如有人守我法度、則可保生、惟彼不守、故我自謂、必在曠野、震怒斯眾、滅之務盡。

乃子孫悖逆我、不遵我之律例、不守我之法度以行之、人若遵行、必由此得生、彼亦犯我之安息日、我言將震怒斯民、發我盛忿、滅之於曠野、我言將震怒斯民發我盛忿滅之於曠野或作我言將在曠野向彼大震我怒傾洩我之盛忿於彼

“‘ But the children rebelled against me: They did not follow my decrees, they were not careful to keep my laws, of which I said,“ The person who obeys them will live by them,” and they desecrated my Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and spend my anger against them in the wilderness.

“‘ “But their children refused to obey me. They did not follow my rules. They were not careful to keep my laws. The person who obeys them will live by them. They misused my Sabbath days. So I said I would pour out all my great anger on them in the desert.

But the children rebelled against me. They did not walk in my statutes and were not careful to obey my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; they profaned my Sabbaths.“ Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them and spend my anger against them in the wilderness.

“ But their children, too, rebelled against me. They refused to keep my decrees and follow my regulations, even though obedience would have given them life. And they also violated my Sabbath days. So again I threatened to pour out my fury on them in the wilderness.

“‘ But the children rebelled against me. They did not follow my statutes or carefully keep my ordinances— the person who does them will live by them. They also profaned my Sabbaths. So I considered pouring out my wrath on them and exhausting my anger against them in the wilderness.

But the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, nor were they careful to follow My ordinances which, if a person follows them, then he will live by them; they profaned My Sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My wrath on them, to use up My anger against them in the wilderness.

“ Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments,‘ which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; but they profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the wilderness.

But the children rebelled against me; they walked not in my statutes, neither kept mine ordinances to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them; they profaned my sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

“ But the children rebelled against Me. They did not follow My statutes or carefully keep My ordinances— the person who does them will live by them. They also profaned My Sabbaths. So I considered pouring out My wrath on them and exhausting My anger against them in the wilderness.

Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which[ if] a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

“‘ But the children rebelled against me, did not follow my statutes, did not observe my regulations by carrying them out( the one who obeys them will live by them), and desecrated my Sabbaths. I decided to pour out my rage on them and fully vent my anger against them in the wilderness.

“‘“ But the children rebelled against me. They didn’t walk in my statutes, and didn’t keep my ordinances to do them, which if a man does, he shall live in them. They profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

「『可是，以色列人卻在曠野背叛我，不遵行我的律例和典章——遵行的人必活著，大肆褻瀆我的安息日。我本想在曠野向他們發烈怒，滅絕他們。

「『然而，他們卻背叛我，不聽我的話，沒有除去他們祭拜的可憎之物和埃及的偶像。我本想在埃及向他們發烈怒，傾倒我的怒火，

我知道你們悖逆、頑固不化，我還活在你們中間的時候，你們尚且背叛上帝，何況我死後呢？

埋怨上帝和摩西說：「你們為什麼把我們從埃及帶出來，叫我們死在曠野呢？這裡無糧無水，我們厭惡這難吃的東西！」

我快要向你傾倒我的烈怒，發出我的怒氣。我必按你的行為審判你，照你一切的惡行報應你。

我要向這牆和粉飾這牆的人發怒，懲罰他們。我告訴你們，這牆完了！粉飾這牆的人也完了！』

他們的所作所為觸怒耶和華，以致瘟疫降在他們中間，直到非尼哈起來懲罰罪人，瘟疫才停止。這就是他的義行，世代永存。他們在米利巴泉邊惹耶和華發怒，連累了摩西。因為他們惹摩西發怒，以致他說了魯莽的話。

你們的上帝耶和華吩咐你們離開加低斯·巴尼亞，去佔領祂賜給你們的土地，你們卻背叛祂，不信靠祂，也不聽從祂。自從我認識你們以來，你們就不斷地背叛耶和華。

以色列人駐紮在什亭期間，有些人與摩押女子行淫。那些女子邀他們參加祭祀，他們吃了祭物，並跪拜她們的神明，結果使以色列與巴力·毗珥苟合。耶和華大怒，對摩西說：「把為首的人都抓起來，當著我的面在大白天處死他們，以消除我對以色列人的怒氣。」於是，摩西對以色列的審判官說：「你們各自把權下與巴力·毗珥苟合的人處死。」摩西和以色列全體會眾正在會幕門口痛哭的時候，有個以色列人當著他們的面把一個米甸女子帶進自家的帳篷。亞倫祭司的孫子、以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈看見了，便起身離開會眾，拿著矛槍，跟著進入那人的帳篷，一槍刺透那對男女的腹部。以色列人當中的瘟疫馬上止住了，

我要把烈怒倒在你們身上，將我的怒火噴在你們身上，把你們交在嗜殺成性的惡徒手中，

我聽見殿中有宏亮的聲音對七位天使說：「去將那盛滿上帝烈怒的七個碗傾倒在地上。」

他們在曠野漂泊的那四十年間，上帝一直照顧、容忍他們。

因為他們背棄我，給別的神明燒香，製造偶像惹我發怒，所以我的怒火要在這地方燃燒，絕不止息。』

向他們頒佈我的律例和典章，若有人遵守，就必活著。

「你們去為我、為以色列和猶大的餘民求問耶和華有關這書卷上的話。耶和華的烈怒已經臨到我們身上，因為我們的祖先沒有遵守耶和華的話，沒有遵行這書卷上的話。」

「北方王必任意妄為，自高自大，自以為超越一切神明，肆意詆譭萬神之神。他必亨通，一直到上帝發烈怒的日子結束。因為所定的必然成就。

耶和華大發烈怒，傾倒祂的怒氣，在錫安燃起大火，焚毀城的根基。
