But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their vile images and detestable idols, I will bring down on their own heads what they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

But some people have hearts that are committed to worshiping the statues of their evil gods. I hate those gods. Anything that happens to those people will be their own fault,” announces the Lord and King.

But as for those whose heart goes after their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their deeds upon their own heads, declares the Lord God.”

But as for those who long for vile images and detestable idols, I will repay them fully for their sins. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”

故我必視其所行、降以重罰、不復矜宥、滅之無俾遺種。

維爾小子、幼而嬉戲、其志愉快、隨心所欲、隨目所視、當思上帝必鞫爾、

斯民違我、焚香奉事他上帝、崇拜手所作者、肆行惡事、故我有命、必降災於其身。

故震怒憤烈、降災於眾、視其所為而報之、我耶和華已言之矣。

爾曹得返故土、凡我所痛疾之物、棄之務盡、

兄弟乎、毋惡於志、而懷不信、背永生之上帝、日月未逝、宜及時相勸勉、恐迷於罪、而剛愎自用、

以色列族乎、爾獻子女、焚之以火、崇事偶像、自沾污衊、今日乃來問我、我耶和華、指己而誓、不許爾與我言。

蓋自其內、即由心出、如惡念、姦淫、苟合、兇殺、盜竊、貪婪、惡毒、詭騙、邪侈、疾視、訕謗、驕傲、狂悖、凡此惡行、皆由內出、是污人也、○

凡違逆我者、必出乎爾中、去其所旅之邦、不得歸以色列地、使知我乃耶和華。

人心詭譎、不可改易、難以灼知。

彼未感於聖神、變化氣質、別樹一黨、

主耶和華曰、爾不憶曩日、干我震怒、故必降罰、使爾所行、可惡之事、不復再蹈。

越在疇昔、我折爾軛、解爾結、爾曰、必不犯罪、然於群峰之巔、茂林之下、縱欲奉事偶像。

義人以信得生、如背道者、吾不悅之、

人而見誘、為欲所餌、欲動生惡、惡盈致死、

凡繼大闢為王、與斯邑之居民、未被俘囚者、萬有之主耶和華曾言之、曰、我必罰之、戮以鋒刃、降以饑饉、斃以疫癘、視若劣果、不堪適口。既以斯三者降罰其身、又必徙於天下萬邦、受人咒詛、不勝駭異、為人凌侮、時聞怨聲、我數遣僕先知、訓迪有眾、惟彼不聽我言、與爾無異、故我罰之若此。
