謂之曰、利未人歟、其聽我言、今當自潔、且潔爾列祖之上帝耶和華室、由聖所出其污穢、

惟祭司尚寡、未能盡剝燔祭之牲、故其同族利未人助之、迨其事畢、亦待祭司自潔、蓋利未人誠心自潔、愈於祭司、

曰、為平康也、我來祭耶和華、爾當潔己而至、同我與祭、撒母耳遂潔耶西及其子、召之與祭、

會中人多未自潔、故利未人為不潔者宰逾越節羔、俾為潔於耶和華前、以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫、有多人未自潔、而食逾越節羔、不循所錄之例、希西家為之禱曰、凡人決心尋求其列祖之上帝耶和華、雖未依聖所之潔禮自潔、願善良之耶和華宥之、

摩西下山、至於民處、使之自潔、民乃濯衣、摩西謂之曰、必為三日之備、勿近婦人、○

越至七日、爾當澣衣、然後為潔、可入於營、○

對曰、我主乎、爾自知之、曰、此乃出乎大難而來、曾以羔之血滌其衣而白之矣、
