耶穌在加利利的迦拿行了這頭一件神蹟，顯明了他的榮耀，他的門徒們就信了他。

來到瑪麗亞那裡的許多猶太人，看到耶穌所做的事，就信了耶穌。

當耶穌在耶路撒冷過逾越節的時候，許多人看見他所行的這些神蹟，就信了他的名。但耶穌自己卻信不過他們，因為他了解所有的人。他也不需要誰來見證人的事，因為他知道人裡面是什麼。

那『岩石』，是這樣的人：他們一旦聽了，就懷著喜樂的心接受了這話語；可是這些人沒有根，他們暫時相信，而在試煉的時候，就離開信仰了。

耶穌說這些話的時候，許多人就信了他。於是耶穌對信他的猶太人說：「你們如果住在我的話語中，就真是我的門徒了，並且你們將明白真理，而真理將使你們自由。」

我的肉體因懼怕你而戰慄，我敬畏你的法規。

那時他們才相信了他的話，歌唱對他的讚美。但他們很快就忘記了他的作為，也沒有等候他的帶領。

於是撒母耳向耶和華呼求，耶和華就在那日降下雷雨，全體民眾都非常懼怕耶和華和撒母耳。

連西門自己也信了。他受洗以後，常常跟著腓利，看見所行出來的神蹟和大能，就十分驚訝。
