以下的事情，你们虽然都知道，但我还要再提醒你们：从前上帝把祂的子民从埃及救出来，后来把其中不信的人灭绝了。

耶和华在那天使以色列人大获全胜，战事一直蔓延到伯·亚文。

祂苦他们所苦，亲自拯救他们。祂本着慈爱和怜悯救赎了他们，自古以来一直扶持、照顾他们。

你必亲眼目睹恶人受惩罚。

这样，耶和华从亚述王西拿基立及一切仇敌手中拯救了希西迦和耶路撒冷的居民，使他们四境平安。
