上帝安人、誰能罪之、上帝掩面、誰能覲之、於國於人皆然、

故我在其前而驚惶、思之則恐懼、上帝使我心頹敗、全能者使我驚駭、

見之駭異驚惶、而疾遁兮、

彼視地、地則顫動、彼捫山、山則發煙兮、

上帝之使昔行於以色列營前、今移於後、雲柱亦離其前、而立於後、在埃及以色列二營之間、有雲有暗、夕則發光、彼此終夜不相近、○

翌日、掃羅分民為三隊、晨更時、入亞捫營擊之、迨及亭午、存者四散、無二人在一處者、

爾則曰、上帝何知、豈能自幽深之中行鞫哉、

脫其車輪、使之難行、埃及人曰、耶和華為以色列族而攻我、我其避之而遁、○
